Don't miss Columbia's Original "1905" Salad(R), prepared tableside with our delicious, freshly-made dressing, a 110-year-old family recipe of fresh garlic, oregano, wine vinegar and Spanish extra virgin olive oil. They named this restaurant "gems of Spanish restaurants" as you can enjoy a selection of food from different Spanish countries. They serve tapas, cuban food, paella and sangria. If you want to experience a fusion of European Hispanic cuisine with a north american influence this is the place. We loved the cuban bread and tasted the selection of cuban delights. We had an amazing guava-vanilla dessert. Parking jn the evening is available free of charge behind the catholic church on the road crossing st George Street.

This restaurant is one we frequent being local to St. Augustine. The atmosphere is great and the food is always good. The wait staff is attentive and you cannot go wrong dining at Columbia.

I really struggled with deciding to give Columbia Restaurant three stars (good) or four stars (very good). All said, I think it is three and a half stars, leaning toward four stars.
The decor in this restaurant was quite lovely. The menu is expansive, and the service was very good.
The food, however, fell short of being impressive. It lacked flair and uniqueness. The food tasted fine, but was received so quickly it felt like it had already been prepared and waiting on the next person to order the dish (The restaurant was completely full that day. We received our entrees within ten minutes, which is why I question the freshness).
This restaurant reminds me of the story of the little engine that could. With a little more effort, Columbia Restaurant could be a first-class destination.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know you enjoyed your visit and meals. One of the reasons that we are able to prepare each of our guest’s meals in a timely manner is that four years ago, we invested $1,100,000 in a capital improvement project including a renovation of our kitchen, and the purchase of all new, state-of-the art energy efficient kitchen equipment. We are celebrating our 30th Anniversary this year in St. Augustine, and we hope to welcome you back on future visit.

We always eat at the Columbia restaurant when we're in St. Augustine and it was delicious, as usual! My son and I had the mussels which were huge and nicely flavored with herbs, spinach, tomatoes, garlic and onions. We were also served their yummy Cuban bread with butter, which is complimentary. Our daughter had the steak, French fries and fruit from the children's menu and she ate every bite, claiming the steak was fabulous! She has severe peanut & tree nut allergies and the chef here also has these food allergies so was easily able to ensure her safety! My family had the snapper platter with the yellow rice and the ropa steak - all delicious and large portions. We were surprised at how busy they were for a late afternoon (arrived at 2:30 pm and we had to wait about 5 minutes). Our server was very helpful and attentive, constantly re-filling our water and ice tea's. The sangria here is excellent! The have several floors as well as an enclosed patio which is beautiful. Would be a nice place to hold a special dinner!
