On our way to Vilano Beach, my husband and I stopped at Jaybird's Restaurant in St. Augustine. We had heard good things about the quality of the food, and what we heard was correct. We both had mahi, which was very fresh. The potato salad and house salad I had were good too, and my husband liked his sweet potato fries.
Since the Florida weather was beautiful that day, we chose to sit outside in the garden area. The landscape was eye catching and the little bridge over the water bed was a nice touch.
The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality. And our waitress was friendly and attentive. Margaret, the owner, paid us a visit to see if everything was good. That was nice.
With the food quality, reasonable prices, friendly staff, and a caring manager, I would say this is a recipe for success!
