The rooms are located above shops, which is okay unless you are near the cigar store. The room was very large but without much purpose for the extra space. However we only had two people in the room, so a family with kids might better appreciate the space. The bathroom had a separate tub and shower. Good location for walking in the historic area but no water view from our room. Also fyi the beaches are four miles away! The Breakfast is a no. Also the gym (that they would give you a pass for, if they had one) was four miles away. And the parking is in a public garage a couple of blocks away.

Once again we stayed at The St. George Inn in Old St.Augustine on our way to Port Canaveral. This is the perfect place to stop for the night and begin your cruise vacation. We shopped in the stores and had a great dinner in one of the diners right there by the hotel. The kids absolutely love this place. This is more that just a stopover. We actually look forward to this stop over. The staff of St. George Inn is ALWAYS a pleasure. The rooms are clean and comfortable! We will always stay here when heading on a cruise out of Pot Canaveral!

The St George Inn is located in an excellent central position, ideal for walking to most of the local attractions, restaurants and bars. Our room was spacious and airy with a nice view looking out over the old city gates. The hotel atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed making a comfortable stress-free stay. We made our booking quite late (less than 48 hrs) and sent an email requesting confirmation of our booking and location details before departing, we received a response within the hour. Without doubt the St George's best attribute is the staff, who are very friendly and helpful from the moment you step through the door. I should correct that as the staff were most helpful with the car parking and luggage even before we had checked in!

Saint Augustine is a short drive from Orlando and all its attractions but could have easily been on the other side of the world, as we never saw any plastic ears or ridiculous hats. If the area is representative of the 'real Florida', then we will be looking for more on our next visit. We stayed at the St George Inn for four nights during May 2012 and would stay again should we be in the area on a future visit.

I originally picked this hotel for a 2 night stay based upon TA reviews and then my brother & sister-in-law said they stayed here as well and loved it, that helped me book the reservation. We followed the directions and pulled into the "designated parking area" and almost immediately some of the staff were out to help us carry things to their lobby - handed me a card to get me into the parking garage 2 blocks away while my wife and kids checked in.

When i arrived in the lobby, someone took me up to my room. The room was on the 3rd floor, had two double beds, so we were used to queens, but no big deal to us. The bathroom only had a shower, but again, not a problem. there is a mini-fridge which was nice. the room was clean, no complaints at all.

The location is perfect for exploring the old town area - right across the street from the fort, and at the top of the pedestrian street with lots of shops, bars, restaurants, etc. if you forget something in your room, you are never more than a 10-15 minute walk away.

In the mornings there is a nice little continental breakfast including bagels, croissants, yogurt, meats & cheese, banana bread and blueberry bread, juice, coffee, etc. the staff is constantly replenishing the supplies so you don't have to worry about getting down there first thing in the morning. Although i believe they say it ends at 11am, there were still some items left later when i passed by (and helped myself to a bit more). there is also a nice little courtyard to enjoy you breakfast and a coffee shop if you require something more than coffee - latte, espresso, etc.

The staff were very helpful from suggestions to filling our little cooler with ice and filling our water bottles.

The internet was fine for checking emials / surfing the net, i even downloaded a couple of apps while there w no issues, i didn't download any movies or watch any "on demand" media.

I would (will) definitely stay there again next time i am in St Augustine and would recommend this to anyone headed there.
