The room was wonderful, very clean and large! We had a balcony that was shared with 2 other rooms, which were occupied by our friends, so it was excellent for our happy hours. The staff was extremely accommodating and the location was in the heart of the historic district at the base of St George Street. Also right by trolley stop. Complimentary breakfast. Bought the package, which was well worth it. Included 3 day trolley pass and admission to six museums. Need to go back to see all the sights!

We had a great visit to St Augustine, it was our first time in the Old City.
Making a reservation was super easy and the inn keeper answered all my questions.
The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. (You unload your bags in the middle of the yellow median- center of the road, and are issued a parking pass for the parking garage- about a block away. parking is just $5 a day)
Our hotel stay included the historic package- it had tickets already printed for the city trolley & tickets for some other points of interest. That was an added value!
Our room was really spacious and clean. The bedding was super comfy. We over-looked the Old School House and right across from the Fort and next to the Old City Gate. There was hardly any noise, which was a pleasant surprise. Below our hotel room were many unique shops. The hotel provides a really nice selection for the continental breakfast, and the complimentary bath products were a nice touch.
We were having such a great time walking through out the city, that every day was an adventure to find yet another great restaurant to get lunch and dinner.
The rooms are all non-smoking, super clean and spacious!
**note: make sure to pack comfy walking shoes- you'll want to explore the city and walk the side streets!

Room Tip: Ask about a package w/ tickets to POI's

After checking out two bed and breakfast establishments in the historic district, we decided upon the St. George Inn based on several factors. Its location was a huge plus; we were offered their San Marcos room with a view of the old fort, the city gate and the bay for a very reasonable rate upon check in. On the second floor, we had a shared porch with rockers which overlooked St George Street; we did not have neighbors sharing the balcony our entire 2 night stay, and we spent alot of time overlooking the area. Another reason we chose this Inn was the size of the room-it was very large and spacious, with a refrigerator, several chairs and even a ceiling fan! The Inn had that quaint feel to it, hard to describe but it just seemed to fit the atmosphere of historic St Augustine. Breakfast was served every morning until 1100 in the courtyard, and we were expecting the usual continental affair. It was surprisingly diverse, with offerings from croissants+bread and cheeses to bagels and several different types of pound cakes. There was coffee, juice and many different varieties of hot tea to choose from.
Even though we have visited the St Augustine area many times over the past many years, the St. George Inn helped make this our most enjoyable experience to the city. We took advantage of staying locally and stopped by often to take breaks on the porch, or rest in the courtyard. Every member of the staff were polite and helpful, and seemed happy to help the guests in any way. The only disadvantage that we found was that the walls/ceiling/floor were thin and we could hear activity in the rooms surrounding us easily. The other inconvenience was that the wifi would not work inside the rooms, and we had to sit out in the courtyard, where the reception was outstanding. This could have definitely caused a problem in bad weather, but the mosquitoes were happy!

As before accomodations were wonderful. The owner, Irving, assures that you are happy during your stay. Location is great, can walk to anywhere in/near Historical district within minutes. Trolley stop is right in front of Inn and covered parking in a covered, secure garage is 1 block away. The balcony is wonderful for people watching, sipping wine along with a good cigar. We will go there again and again..

Room Tip: Call in lieu of internet.

We were on a three day trip to photograph birds at the Animal farm on the beach but wanted a spot convenient to downtown and the beach. We picked a winner. There are many reviews that outline the positives and negatives, the latter I don't understand based on our visit. Our 2nd floor Pinta room on Orange St. was ample, clean, has a porch, quiet and overall was a good value. The owners and support staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. In and out parking is made very easy by use of a pass card supplied by the hotel for a daily rate of $5.00.

Room Tip: We picked these rooms since there was an elevator

This hotel was wonderful! My son has chemical sensitivity and they went out of their way to insure our room was green cleaned to accommodate his needs. We were not made to feel like it was a put out either, their attitude was that of someone wanting to help. I can't say enough about the level of service we received!
The rooms were nice and the view of the water and Castillo were fantastic! Best hotel in St. Augustine!

We saw this hotel online while looking for something a little different from the same old big name hotel. Boy did we pick a winner. From the time I called to make a reservation to the time we said our goodbye's we felt like we were at home. These people bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable. They have an excellent location with spotlessly clean rooms and serve a great continental breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back next year. To Irving and his entire staff, THANK-YOU. steve, lynda, zach & kathy.
