I rolled into the Pirate Haus with a group of six other cyclists. John, Dennis, and the the owner, whose name slips my mind, helped us settle into St. Augustine. There was a safe (although uncovered) place to keep our bikes, free pirate pancakes in the morning, two fast computers, and the helpful advice of the three hostel heroes. John recommended restaurants, Dennis chatted us up and spelled our names in pancake batter, and the owner shuttled some of our group to the Jacksonville airport for a lower fee than the taxi companies do it. I had to store some bags at the hostel for a week and a half, and that was no problem for them. These guys are the best! Thank you, Pirate Haus.
