What an amazing place to celebrate St. Patricks Day!! Beautiful day! The owners could not have planned a better celebration for their Irish guests and nonirish guests. The food is amazing, the beer selection amazing, and the overall atmosphere of the resturaunt is fun and inviting. The people who work at Barley Republic Public House seem to love their jobs and work like a family. I hope next year to bring my entire family to St. Augustine to enjoy St. Patricks Day 2014!!

“Nice Place”

This is a great little place. True Irish food. Indoor seating is quaint and cozy. Outdoor seating is in a great spot overlooking Spanish Street.

“Soooo good!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

Cutest little pub! My first time in St. Augustine and ate early supper here. Bangers, onion rings, and fish fry were the best!!! Cranberry bread pudding for dessert....oh my gosh!!! Takes a few minutes to get the food but that's because it's all fresh. And of course ice cold Irish beer makes it all perfect. Could eat here every week!

“My Favorite Irish Pub”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2013

My husband & I found this place by sheer luck. I am ready to go back. They have great food, great beer & Bob the musician singing all the irish ballads! I would recommend that you order the soon to be famous "Irish Egg", an appetizer. It is a hard boiled egged wrapped in corn beef & fried with a delicious mayo/mustard dressing, kinda like a scotch but a million times better! The shepherds pie is also a keeper & the Salmon Club sandwich. I am returning as soon as possible. I like the creativity of the food menu & the beautiful pub atmosphere. Eat inside or out. You can't go wrong.

“Great beer selection, good food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2013

The Barley Republic is a small Irish pub located in downtown St Augustine. I was there on a Saturday night for dinner and it was crowded. The pub is small and therefore noisy, but that is what a pub should be. There are also tables outside. The beer selection is outstanding. They have beers from all over the US and of course Ireland and England. The food was good. We had the fish and chips, and the Reuben. The only problem was the kitchen. It was very crowded and busy, but appetizers took an hour. If you are there to enjoy the crowd and have a few pints it probably would not be a problem, that's what pubs are for. If you are looking for a lively crowd and willing to try some beer you may have never heard of this is your place. Our waitress was very
attentive and kept the drinks coming. It is a fun place just don't expect to be in a hurry.
