Don't miss Ripple Effect Eco-tours!! From booking to the guided tour everything was done simply and professionally. The sunset tour was educational and beautiful. We couldn't have asked for better guides. Brandon and Mike were both very knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot about the ecosystem and the importance of preserving and protecting it. Great date, family or friends night out!! You won't be disappointed!! Tickets include admission to Marineland Dolphin Adventure!!

Mike, our eco tour guide, gave us a fantastic 2.5 hour tour of the reserve areas off the inter coastal waterway. This is a beautiful, peaceful tour that is well worth the time and money. Mike gave us background on the area, the fauna and the species that inhabit the area. We were also greeted by dolphins and on our final approach, we were given a send off by the dolphins, Just perfect.

Our group of four throughly enjoyed a 2.5 hour tour on and around the Inter-coastal water way. Our guide Brian was very knowledgeable of the plants, animals and birds of the area. The two person kayaks are super easy to navigate. I highly recommend the tour and staff.

The guides were very friendly! We did see a dolphin. The overall information about the ecosystem was great! Saw lots of wildlife. I was most excited about seeing the hermit crabs in their natural environment. I love that this kayak trip helps to support research. Plus they give you tickets to Marineland Dolphin Adventure, which the kids love. Thanks for a great time.

Great times with the estuarine ecosystem. Paddling into the GTM Research Reserve provides both the kayaking and leisure with a touch of knowledge. The Research Reserve is a unique location to explore. Science, Research and Stewardship creates fun for the entire family and friends. Learning about the marine life and their habitats is a great time with wonderful memories. Thank you...

I searched through many options of kayaking around St Augustine before deciding on Ripple Effect Tours and we weren't disappointed! I was searching specifically for 'off the grid' kayaking, away from the bustle of busy marinas and cities, and from the first call to the day of kayaking, everything was so customer-friendly and easy. Response times and email bookings were quick and clear, the staff helpful. The launch place is about 30 minutes outside of St Augustine, and departs from a marina (that you only see for a very short time before you're in mangroves). Leif was our guide, and he has some extensive background and education in the environment, is a native to Florida from a very young age and works in environmental protection. His knowledge of nature and the area is vast and he's an entertaining and educational guide. Like all tours for any company, there are no guarantees of specific wildlife sightings, but being on the water in the sunshine and hearing so much information is just a great way to enjoy some time in Florida and outside the city. Huge kudos to Leif for kicking off the tour with basic how-to's. We'd kayaked quite often before, but this would be great for anyone unfamiliar. The pace is slow and comfortable, so while you cover distance in 2+ hours, it's not as much as you'd think, and it's relaxing and the time passes quickly. The only recommendation I would give is that there was so much help and communication given to how to get to the marina, but even then we arrived and were quickly finding it tough to find them inside the marina. Some small guide signs at the road would be so helpful! Other than that (which was only a few minutes really), it was simply great! Also great -- there are bathrooms right there at the launch site, and Ripple Effect provides waterproof float carriers for valuables! Thanks so much to Leif and Ripple Effect Tours!
