“Not as hard as you would think...”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

I had a nice time at King & Bear. The course was in nice shape, and played at a good pace. Considering the slope ratings and cost, we thought it wiser to chicken out and play the white tees. To my surprise, the course wasn't that difficult. It was nicely laid out, and fun to play...

My only source of irritation was that the course played cart path only due to seeding. I didn't notice any seeding, and it made the day a bit longer. No sneaking onto the fairways either - the GPS keeps tabs on you if you do.

In conclusion, an average golfer can play the blue tees without worrying about the slope rating; you won't get blown out of the water. My advice, get the cheaper twilight rate. If you are looking for a tougher challenge, play Slammer & Squire instead...

“Fun course to play.”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

We anticipated an impossibly difficult, but pretty course when we booked the tee time; however, this is a playable course for the distance player. The course offers enough challenge with sandtraps and water to be truly challenging, but for the person who hits fairly straight and far, it's a fun course to play. I'll be back for a 'rematch!'

“Well conditioned, responsive customer service.”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

FYI- This course is not near the world golf hall of fame. It is 5+ actual miles away, when driving by car.

Course is in a high end residential area, most holes have houses present. Layout is very interesting as far as typical Florida courses go. Conditioning was excellent. Almost no poorly maintained areas. Staff was accommodating from start to finish.

Difficulty is more suited to low and mid handicappers. If you have time for only one round, avoid Slammer... Go for the King...

“Great day for Golf!”
Reviewed July 3, 2012

Had the opportunity to play the King and Bear Course at World Golf Village and it was a great day of golf! It was a little pricey but woth it in my opinion. The course itself is tremendous and as scenis as any your likely to play. If you have the chance, take it, you won't regret it.

“Friendly staff”
Reviewed July 2, 2012 via mobile

Had a great time at king and bear. Lots of old salts (club atmosphere) and newcomers playing the course. As a first time golfer and my first course, I found it to be challenging with a good layout. The grounds were beautiful....i loved the trees and all the greenery. Lots of shade to keep cool. The staff were super nice. Not one complaint. Keep it up, I will play golf again.
