We rented a 3 wheel scooter and drove around there. Its hard for big vehicles to fit in the narow streets, so the scooter was a great experience.

The old city is indeed charming and quite unique. We walked around the old city a number go hours even though it was cold and windy. We had lunch at the Colombia Restaurant in the old city. Food and service were great.

It was crowded, which made it even more fun. The shops bring a variety of goods and services to you. You can browse or shop until you drop. Don't expect to be thrown back five centuries, but it is a fun side trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the old city. We walked through in the late afternoon and stayed till the evening. The smell of fresh bakery, flowers, and a variety of restaurants will delight your senses.
The buildings and street lights set a wonderfully romantic atmosphere, almost like you have traveled back in time. Lots of little craft shops and gift shops, ice cream and cakes, something for everyone.

This is a must visit area if you are anywhere near St. Augustine. We had a romantic Sunday evening walk. The places are lit with a warm feel as it combines with the deep history. View of the Bridge of Lions, the inlet, shops, places to eat, and many historic points. On Friday and Saturday the place is louder, more active, and alive with people enjoying the variety offered. We go EVERY TIME we are in St. Augustine. I highly recommend a visit.
