“Old World Charm”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

There are plenty of places to visit in order to find out about the Old World history of St. Augustine's Old City. There are lots of restaurants, friendly people, and interesting sights to see. Take a ride on the Trolley and experience the entire city in a few hours!

“Like a visit to Spain”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Beautiful architecture, great restaurants, a tram to take you all over town, lots of little shops, beautiful old churches, lots to do! Be sure to go the Visitor's Center for information on the area.

“About As Close To A Key West Feeling Town As It Get's”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

The warm breezes and the huge number of boats anchored in the water made you feel almost like you were in Key West or Bermuda. The town is small and compact loaded with numerous eating establishments and gift shops. There were about 8 Horse and Carriage Rides running on this bright sunny Sunday Afternoon and we were even lucky enough to see the Wedding Carriage parade up and down the street of St Augustine with a NEWLY wedded couple. That was amazingly fairytale beautiful There was a red train running up and down the streets and 2 trolley systems. .The Fort was right in the center of town so it was a busy entertaining day for my husband Pedro and I. If I were choosing a hotel with the best location pick the HILTON. Direct on the water and attached to the Martini Bar. We will be repeat visitors for this amazing town.

“Nice shops mixed in with the usual tourist stuff.”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

The Old City is very beautiful. St. Augustine does tourism very well. Look for Ambassadors who are volunteer residents to answer your questions and to give you honest recommendations. St. George Street has a lot of unique shops but most are geared to tourists. The nice galleries are mostly around the square. We paid $22 each for a three day trolley pass which was worthwhile even though we only rode it twice. It helps to set one's bearings and get acquainted with attractions you might want to include and others you may want to avoid!

The Old City can occupy adults for two days quite easily. There are plenty of things to do if you have kids in tow. There are plenty of public bathrooms which are clean and accessible.

We will definitely return in the future.

“Worth the visit”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

We had a great time in old town SA, other than the humidity in August, but what can you do? There are lots of great shops & restaurants, and tons of things to see & do of course. SA is a very unique city, and there is plenty here for anyone. We found it fairly compact & stroller-friendly.

Parking tip...if you're coming in via the Lions Bridge, go right immediately after crossing & stay on that road nearest the waterfront, past the Castillo, & then left into the visitor's center parking deck. You can keep your car in the shade for the same cost as most of the open-air lots in old town, while avoiding most of the traffic & having an easy in/out.
