“Okay for older kids”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

We took the family. A lot of interactive things to do. The 5 year old got a little bored but the 8 year old liked it. Expensive for less than an hour's worth of entertainment.

“Fun museum, but I wish it were bigger.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2014

We spent a couple of hours here on a rainy day, and we had a lot of fun. The best part, IMHO, was the story room where you sit with headphones, the room darkens, and you listen to Blackbeard getting killed! There was too much reading on most of the items for our teenagers who just wanted to get through fast, but they were impressed with the real artifacts (when we drew their attention to them) and the interactive displays. I just wish it were bigger since St. Augustine is the perfect place for a pirate museum!

“Best of its kind”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 12, 2014

We were blown away at the depth and breadth of the artifacts. Good historical perspectives and computer interaction available about the most famous pirates.

“Loved it!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2014

This is a very informative place on the lives and deaths of pirates. We were given a sheet to find hidden treasure in the museum. It was a little cramped with people bringing strollers inside with no children in them. Probably should leave the strollers outside if the child is not going to sit in it. We enjoyed the museum in spite of the tightness.

“Pirate Museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2014

The Pirate Museum is awesome and well worth a visit. Ticket prices very reasonable and there is lots to see. There was a costumed "pirate" staff member who was very entertaining! A very well run museum. Our family really enjoyed it!
