“Don't miss this one!”

Great time for family. My daughter is 4 years old and I worried about whther she would enjoy much in St. Augustine but this place was great for the entire family! Make sure to check the free magazines for coupons and if you purchase Red Train tours, they give you a discount too. The museum was so much fun, we did the tour with the Pirate and he explained everything. Many old treasures and original pirate flags and very interesting! A must see!

“ARRR! Don't miss this museum”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

This museum turned out to be one of the highlights of our few days in St. Augustine. It was full of amazing historical information, artifacts and interactive activities. There are many hidden drawers throughout the museum; it is fun to hunt them down and mark them off on the map you are given with admission. Don't miss "firing" the cannons and the Disney created audio show.

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. If you are lucky Captain Mayhem will be there when you are touring, he adds much colour and even more information about the history of pirates.

“Interesting and fun museum.”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

Cost about 10 dollars and across the street from the Castillo fort. Hands on and interactive exhibits for the young and old. A great place to spend a few hours. Many interesting artifacts. I would recommend this as something to do during your visit, especially for the kids. They do have a few skeleton like models that could be graphic for young children, but its displayed in such a way, they should be ok. They also have some old torture and punishment artifacts. Unfortunately no models on display for that, but bearing in mind it was a kid friendly museum, made that ok in my opinion. I was very glad I visited the museum. I think it was worth the price. Dont recall any coupons. They do offer a pirate treasure hunt while visiting the museum, very cool and you get a captain certificate if you find all the articles. Very fun for kids , even though I didnt have any with me during my St. Augustine stay.

“This is a place for your imagination”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

The museum was very well set up and full of excited kids. The displays were varied and some were even a little scary. The reception folks were very helpful and we enjoyed the visit. We even sat in the jail room and listened to the voice of a mysterious pirate. We left with a chill in our bones.
