Ate here with friends last night. Totally loved it. We were seated upstairs near the windows and enjoyed the old southern decor and the quiet atmosphere. The food was excellent and the wine list, although limited, was one of the most interesting I have seen in the area. Our appetizers, egg roll, beef Wellington, tuna salad, and mushroom crostini, were all fabulous with excellent combinations of flavors. The beef ribs were wonderful. It is unusual to find Schrader Cellars Vieux os on the wine list and it was an absolute delight. Of the desserts, the creme brulee was the best, with cheesecake and bread pudding right up there. The chocolate tort was a bit of a disappointment as it was slightly burnt. The only other negative I might offer is the food service was a little slow.
All in all, this ranks right up there as one of the top dining experience in St Augustine. I highly recommend Rhetts to anyone looking a fine dining experience.
