Ed took us to some gems in this city. We truly had a wonderful time. He was very personable, interesting, and new his history! He definitely appreciates that finer things in life and is a very well rounded person. We would definitely do another tour with him in the future and recommend others as well. The food was spectacular. He is really doing the local businesses a favor by bringing in people during his tour. He's awesome! If you see this, thank you Ed!

We highly recommend this tour for any food addict or for anyone just looking for something fun to do. Edward (tour guide) walked us through town through both popular and hole-in-the-wall restaurants that were excellent. At each stop, we had a small taste of what the location had to offer. Additionally, Edward had some great stories to share about the history of St. Augustine.

“Food for Thought”

What a great way to spend an afternoon in St. Augustine--eating and touring. Our tour guide, Nicolette, was wonderful! She kept us entertained the entire time with both historical and fun facts. We enjoyed a wonderful Salmon on Israeli Couscous at The Old City House. We then strolled to The Ancient Olive to sample balsamic vinegar and oil. At The Centro restaurant a trio of wonderful Italian food--ziti, a cold eggplant caponata, and two mini slices of pizza. Yum. We took a break to sip local orange wine and a smoothie, and then on to the Athena cafe for more great food. I really enjoyed the flaming Greek cheese, lamb gyro meat, fresh pita bread, and tzatziki sauce. Our last stop of the day was Meehan's Irish pub. I enjoyed the clam chowder and slider, and my husband loved the deep fried Reuben egg roll. And, I must admit that even though I was STUFFED by this time, I managed to eat everything on my dessert sampler--chocolate mousse, cheesecake, and fresh strawberry and cream! We had a wonderful time, and can't wait to return to St. Augustine to try these restaurants again. Nicolette also told us about other great local restaurants that we can try. All in all a wonderful time, well worth the money.

“Mills goes the extra mile!”
Reviewed April 8, 2014

Mills, our tour guide, is friendly, knowledgeable about the city, and goes out of his way to make to ensure each guest's enjoyment. The food and hospitality at old city inn, Centro, Athena, and Meehan's were all exceptional. So much food, we waddled back to our car. No groupon or deal for us, we payed full price and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks!

“Mills Goes the Extra Miles”
Reviewed April 8, 2014 via mobile

As many times as we've been to St. Augustine we've never seen it from this delicious vantage point. And our guide Mills provided a perfectly balanced informative and lighthearted tour. We were two couples on a day trip up from New Smyrna Beach who thankfully listened to the admonitions about wearing comfy shoes and not eating before the tour. Now on our way home, bellies happily expanded, Roger and Linda dozing in the back seat. And no wonder. There's quite a variety of food and the portions are definitely not microscopic. We sampled a Thai inspired noodle salad with perfectly grilled swordfish at The Old City House followed by a balsamic and oil shop for more sampling. At The Centro restaurant and piano bar the pasta salad selection was especially flavorful. It was accompanied by a cold eggplant caponata and two small slices of pizza. On to sipping local orange wine and yet another course at the Athena restaurant. Quite a pyrotechnic display of flaming Greek cheese coupled with lamb gyro meat, fresh pita bread, greens and tzatziki sauce. Well pardon my burp, there's yet more by way of Meehan's Irish pub. Thick clam chowder, a small dynamite baked clam and a deep fried Reuben egg roll were washed down with stouts we gladly paid for. And gasp and open the belt another notch, a dessert sampler finished us off. In between the food courses Mills filled us with fun and also some serious information about St. Augustine. He's the consummate guide and, along with the terrific food, made this a great outing with great friends.
