Did this tour last fall and had a good time, but it was missing something. It was a Saturday night and our group was packed and so was every pub in St. Augustine. We decided to give it another try, this time on a Sunday night (3/3), and it made a world of difference! Our group was only 9 people so we got to go to much smaller, creepier places. Our tour guide, Gordon, was awesome and very knowledgeable! Since our group was so small we had much more time to talk to Gordon and get the most out of our trip. We started with a free beer (or wine) with a great selection to choose from at a sports grill along with a few bonus ghost stories. We then went to The American Legion (very cool place with cheap drinks and Jello Shooters), Stogies (super creepy upstairs!), and Meehan's Irish Pub. We ended up going back to Stogies and then the American Legion after the tour with a few people from our group until last call! This tour is good fun no matter what, but I highly recommend going on a night when the crowds aren't out in full force!
Reminder: Stogies was a cigar bar with people smoking in it. Of the 6 places I've been with Ghost Augustine between my two trips it was the only one that allowed smoking inside, as far as I can recall.. so keep this in mind if you aren't a fan of being indoors with possible smoke.
