This was by far the best thing we did on our quick trip to St.Aug with our 2 younger children (ages 4 and 6). If you go - be there a little before 12 to get a good spot on the fence - because they do a show/feeding of the "Big" ones at noon everyday. It's quite entertaining. You'll be AMAZED just how many alligators/crocodiles are inside this place. They also have birds, snakes, lizards,etc...The entrance price almost scared us away from doing this ( I believe it cost us @ $65 for the 4 of us) - but amazingly - I'd say we got the most bang for the buck here over anywhere else we visited. Oh.They also have FREE strollers to borrow - so, don't bother dragging one inside with you!! We got here by doing the trolley tour around downtown, and then switching to the beach shuttle at stop 15. He dropped us off right at the door.

This was a great experience. We enjoyed watching all the alligators (especially at feeding time!) and if you get a chance, talk to one of the handlers who are a wealth of knowledge. They have albino alligators which are rare but they also are the only place in the world (I believe it's still true) that has one of every species of crocodile. It was much more than just a 'farm' and we were glad we went.

We where here in Feb 2010 took a 9 yr & 14 yr old (grdkids) and they had a great time. Staff where very informative, friendly and helpfull. we where the only ones that watched the show and it was great, the girl that was doing this started to appologize that the last animal was geared more for younger children, but our grddaughter loved it...it was a bunny :) they also had a beautiful snake and owl.
Feeding of the alligators was cancelled due to cold weather but they still put on a show and tell you all about them.
I would go back again it was great!

Although the attraction has been around for over 100 years, its updated exhibits and nature trails offer a side of Florida that one would endanger his/her life to see otherwise. Its very family-oriented and the lecturers are excellent with children.

All animals and plants are well identified via easy-to-read signs. The covered theater has low seats but plenty of room for wheelchairs and strollers. The acoustics are excellent in the theater. And I really enjoy the "move at your own pace" atmosphere. No one rushing visitors from one exhibit to another.

I didn't know alligators got so huge (Gomez for example). Monster size!

St. Augustine has its share of authentic, not-so-authentic, and just plain fake attractions but the Alligator Farm rates high for authentic and educational!

We really enjoyed our trip to the alligator farm. The exhibits are very clean and the alligators look almost... happy. I really enjoyed feeding them and recommend the picture in the lagoon. Its a bit pricey but how often can you have your picture made with a live gator? All in all a pleasant surprise!
