When we first visited the Farm many years ago, there wasn't much to be said for it except 'alligators'. Now there is so much more to see and with boardwalks and covered exhibits and curiosities to look at, the place can easily take up much of a day. Prepare to be hot and steamy with humidity and don't be surprised if some of the gators look at you as if you would make a great snack.

What a wonderful way to spend your day. All sorts of gator exhibits from around the world. And BIG ones too. Hear lectures, see the gators up close. All sorts of birds, and if you walk way to the back you'll get to walk through the nest grounds or rookery to see MORE birds in their natural habitat. Egrets, Storks, pink spoonbilleds. Delightful. A photographer? Be sure to take a trip-pod, the nesting chicks are great to see but you will need a good camera and lens.

This tourist attraction is difficult to explain, but it is far more than just alligators though I doubt I have ever seen a larger or better presented spectrum of alligators. You are allowed to leisurely walk along boardwalks with rarely more than 10 feet between displays. Turtles ranged from small to the large Galopago species. It was a cool 65 degree day so lots of creatures were awake and on the move. Animal displays included descriptions of species, countries of origin and a wonderful story about Gortek, the largest alligator ever in captivity. Terrific day!

We have annual passes here, and we come with the Grandkids. We take our time walking through, looking at all of the different animals. We go to the alligator feeding show, it is fascinating to watch. We have to go and visit Fluffy, as he is our favorite alligator there. We will definately be back.
