I can not say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay at the Inn at Charlotte. I have always wanted to go to a B&B and my boyfried and I finally decided on the Inn at Charlotte in St. Augustine. I can not imagine a better place to stay for a weekend getaway. Great customer service!!
When I went to book the inn online through a B&B website it booked us under the wrong date. I was so worried that the inn would not let us change our date. I emailed the inn to let them know what happened and before I could even call them, Rodney, the owner, had already sent us a new confirmation with the corrected date. He even called to let me know that everything had been taken care of and I could not thank him enough for how stress free he made the whole situation.
When we arrived in St. Augustine, my boyfriend and I were having some difficulty getting to the B&B because of the one lane roads. I called Rodney and he explained to us how to get there. Not only did he give us great directions but he waited outside of the inn to make sure we found our way. Once we got there he unloaded our bags and walked my boyfriend to his parking spot around the corner. Again, the customer service was phenomenal.
The inn is located right in the middle of historic, downtown St Augustine. You could not ask for a better location. We were a walk away from everything.
Our check inn was so easy and we were ready for an amazing weekend. Our room, the Mary Lilly, was georgeous. Very clean and accomodating. Rodney, the innkeeper, even added a window a/c unit to our room! The whole set up was amazing.
At 5:00 pm we went down for the social hour where Rodney had set up wine and a lobster spread. The wine was really good and the lobster spread was amazing. Rodney even participated in social hour giving us the history of the inn and some interesting areas to hang out in St Augustine. He even recommended a wonderful, Irish restaraunt that had fresh oysters. My boyfriend said that they were the best ones he had ever had.
In the morning, we woke up to fresh coffee and an amazing breakfast. We started with a poached pear w/ an almond creme sauce. It was out of this world. We had belgian waffles with praline syrup and sausage. All homemade.
All in all, I have never had a better weekend. The best customer service!! We had such a great experience at the Inn on Charlotte that we are already planning our 5 year anniversary there.
Thanks for everything Rodney! Try not to work to hard!
