“Cedar House Inn- The Perfect Wedding!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

My husband and I got married just over a week ago at Cedar House Inn in St. Augustine, Florida. It was absolutely perfect! We felt right at home from the moment we stepped into the Inn. If you like old historic homes/buildings, then you will love the Cedar House Inn! One of the many reasons we chose this place is because it reminded us so much of the Quincy Museum in Quincy, IL, which is an old Victorian mansion turned into a museum.
The innkeeper Cyndi thinks of everything and every last detail! She has homemade cookies and treats all the time and offers great advice on where to eat and what sights are worth seeing.
We originally were planning to get married outside in the garden. The only thing you want to be aware of is that there are many cars that pass down the street because there is a college parking lot close by. We were concerned there would be noise and cars in the background, so we chose to get married by the window inside. It actually turned out better! Then, we took tons of pictures outside with the pretty scenery. If you are able to get them, I would also recommend Life and Love Studios to do the photography/video. We used them and they were awesome!
Overall, it was the best place for us! I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are looking to elope (which is what we did) or have just a few small people there. Everyone is friendly and we are planning to go back again!

From the moment of arrival until the good bye hugs we were treated special at the Cedar House Inn. Cyndi has created one of the best B&B's we have ever visited. The room was comfortable and clean (thanks Gina) and a perfect location. We loved being able to walk to everything we visited. The breakfast prepared by Cyndi each day was incredible. Everything so fresh and delicious and so beautifully presented that I wanted to take a photo before the first bite. There are no negatives to this outstanding B&B except we did not stay long enough! Therefore, a return is a promise we made to ourselves.
Thanks, Susan and Dean

Probably the best B&B we've experienced out of dozens and dozens anywhere. Owner Cyndi Humphrey and the indispensable Gina host a memorable visit. Cyndi is flawless in her role ... sincerely helpful in meeting all of your needs on property and in town, as genuine and friendly as can be, and a perfect personality. Gina supports in every way you could expect and maintains spotless room conditions. The B&B is relaxing and comfortable with plenty of private spaces for reading, an outdoors drink, just hanging out on the expansive porch. Rooms have private entrances and baths and every amenity you could need; classy and not overdone. Cyndi is "upgrading" the furniture in the room we had and we can't imagine why ... it was already wonderful. Breakfasts are spectacular ... creative, fresh presentation, incredible taste, light yet filling. If you're really lucky, you could have the ridiculously flavorful "Ms. Shearline's Meatloaf Breakfast Hash." We should be so lucky every morning. Chilled beverages readily on hand, tasty cookies in the afternoon, DVD's for in-room watching, and a killer location ... just a few blocks away from the busy, and walking distance to absolutely everything. We live a few hours away and will go back for sure. It's just a terrific place to escape, wind down a bit, and know you'll have a memorably wonderful time. Loved it!

This is one of the best B & B's that my husband and I have ever stayed in. Cyndi goes the "extra mile" in making your stay one of the best that you will ever experience. Not only are her breakfasts the best that I have had at a B & B................but the presentation is exceptional! We were able to stay in the Honeymoon Suite for 3 days and it was spacious, clean, and came with a porch to have your coffee, wine, or just to enjoy the surroundings. I am long overdue in sending this review in as we stayed the end of February through the first of March of this year. The location is great...............within walking distance to wonderful restaurants that Cyndi recommended, the pedestrian mall, Lightner Museum, Flagler College, and boarding the Old Town Trolley. Stay here and you will see why The Cedar House Inn is rated #1 in St. Augustine......................you will not be disappointed!

The Cedar House Inn is a spectacular bed and breakfast. Cyndi is such a joy and what a remarkable cook. My husband and I just loved it there. If staying in St. Augustine you must stay here. The grounds have a quaint country garden appeal. The rooms are well thought out and spacious. The location is so convenient to walk to everything. We even walked to the light house, which I would not recommend if you are not a hiker. Lovely specialty shops close by as well as great restaurants. Cyndi always had great recommendations! We just loved our stay and will be back.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Floridian Suite and loved all of the space as well as a kitchenette.

My husband and I have travelled extensively and have. Even Romany B&Bs and this was the best one we have been to. The house is well appointed and outstanding in every way. The phones is impeccably maintained and lean. The breakfast of fresh fruit with a port sauce and stuffed French Toast with syrup and bacon drew gasps from everyone as the artistic plates were presented. Cyndi, the owner, is cheery and upbeat, informative and hA lead a very interesting life. he treated everyone with a smile and open arms. It is no wonder that her inn was voted #1. We would without a doubt recommend this beautiful home away from home to anyone. Thanks Cyndi for a great stay.

My wife and I stayed at The Cedar House Inn and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Cyndi was a fabulous host and we cannot put into words how much we enjoyed it. Very Importantly, my wife is Celiac and Cyndi knew right away that she could not eat the planned breakfast and immediately offered her a delicious alternative, which made my wife feel very comfortable. Being first timers to a B&B we were not real sure what to expect, but we were extemely happy and cannot wait for the opportunity to go back!!
