St. Francis Inn Bed and Breakfast
Ranked #8 of 30 St. Augustine B&B and Inns
Certificate of Excellence

I stayed at this little B&B breakfast Inn last Thursday. The Inn is 222 years old and the people running this inn treated you like family. With a social gathering in the late afternoon with wine, beverages, and snacks, and a dessert hour in the early evening, they really took good care of you. And breakfast was yummy with some small hot buffet plus plentiful continental extras to choose from.
As for the accomodations, I had Ms.Lilly's Room and it was very nice.
I'm planning on coming back to this terrific B&B in the near future.
Thanks so much to the wonderful staff...

Room Tip: Check their website for the types of rooms available...you can book online too. To get to this Inn...

My wife and I have stayed at the inn several times and can't say enough about the entire experience. The rooms , ourtyard and service are the best.Throw in the ambiance and the historical setting (nearly all within walking distance) and you have a wonderful experience. Saved the staff for last because they're attention to detail and assistance made us feel like we were as special as each of them were. We'll definitely be back. I can't say enough about our stay at the St. Francis Inn. It is hard to put into words how we felt about our long weekend stay. From making our reservations to our leaving everything was great. Kelly, the innkeeper was wonderful. We called and asked if we arrived earlier than the check in time could we park in their lot. Not only were we able to park but our room was ready and we were able to check in. We stayed in the Wilson Suite which is in the house across the street. It was a beautiful room and very quiet. We had a porch right outside our door where we could sit and watch the world go by. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were so nice and soft. There was a whirlpool tub in our room which was an added touch of comfort. There was a kitchen where we were able to keep & warm up our leftovers. The kitchen was shared with another room but we never even saw anyone else in there. There are fresh flowers in the every room and sherry. The amenities listed sounded too good to be true but they are true. The breakfasts in the morning are delicious. Something different each day. On weekends there are mimosas and bloody Mary's included with the breakfast. You could also have lattes or cappuccino individually made to order each morning. In the afternoon there is a social hour. Wine, beer and things like veggies and dips, spinach dip, crab dip, meatballs, hummus and pita chips and many other appetizers are served. In the evening they had an assortment of desserts out from 8- 9:30 for your enjoyment. There were coffees and teas & hot chocolate and cold drinks available all day and a snack basket out in the evening. They have bikes available for your use. The inn is within walking distance of the main part of town. They have a nice big parking lot which is nice too. We have stayed in other B & B's in St. Augustine and parking isn't as convenient. All in all I can't say enough about our stay. Everyone who works there is very nice and helpful. They also give complimentary tickets to the Lighthouse and they have a Beach property where you can park and go to the beach. They have beach towels and beach chairs available to use while you are there. They also have free Wi-Fi. They have a beautiful courtyard where you can sit and they also have a swimming pool. So many amenities! We can't wait to stay again. Our anniversary weekend turned out to be a very special weekend at the St. Francis Inn.

We hosted our wedding at the St. Francis Inn. Everyone went out of their way to ensure that our special day went off without a hitch! From moving the ceremony site from the front garden to the back courtyard, having to rearrange the bicycles, chairs and the arch, anything we asked for was no problem. Our guests all stayed at the Inn, and every room was just lovely! All of the included extras really make this Inn so special and truly a reasonable getaway. We are already planning our next stay. The entire staff made us all feel so welcome, from the housekeepers, to Mike the maintenance man, Janice the chef and wedding coordinator was so helpful really took all the stress off of me. I had a problem with my bouquet and Max was able to get us a florist to fix the issue on the day of our wedding! Mary did a great job of officiating the ceremony, and we had a few twists for her. We just cannot say enough about everything! Thank you all so much, and we look forward to our next trip.

Room Tip: Garden Hideaway has own temperature controls!

This is the second time we have stayed at the St. Francis Inn and it was as delightful as the first. We love the special hospitality provided by the innkeepers, including delightful breakfasts, cocktail hour, and desserts! The rooms are thoughtfully appointed, even down to lapboards for your mobile devices. We especially enjoy the neighborhood setting of the inn, providing the opportunity for pleasant walks to the attractions, but a quiet respite away from the commercial side of town. Relaxing on the front porch or in the courtyard enables couples time together to visit in a relaxed, pleasant environment. While not fancy, the accommodations are clean, and the personal attention to your every need is first rate. We look forward to another visit!

Room Tip: Pick a balcony room or the downstairs suite in the Wilson House. Delightful!!

If you are visiting St. Augustine, there are over 40 B&B's in this small historic area but the St. Francis Inn is by far the best. The inn is VERY old, the oldest in the area, but very well appointed by very relaxed and happy staff. All the amenities that go with your stay make it feel so warm and comfortable. The location of the B&B is marvelous, so close to all that you want to see, but far enough away for peace and quiet.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Dummet room with a very large bathroom and loved it.

4 of us high school girlfriends stayed here several nights to celebrate our 60th birthdays and the staff went out of their way to make our stay exceptional, including going over the map with us and finding great restaurants, letting us use the facilities until our rooms were ready and giving out the recipes to their delicious food! We stayed in The Cottage, with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a full kitchen, which was very clean and made us feel at home. It is right in the middle of the historic section and we were able to walk almost everywhere. I slept on the sofa bed and even that was very comfortable. We will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: This is one of the few bed and breakfasts that can accommodate 4 friends at a reasonable price in an...
