The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early ,good car parking.Room a little on the small side but beautifully presented,we were on the ground floor courtyard room, unfortunately the upstairs bedroom floors creaked badly, and we were woken during the night 3 times. No tea or coffee facilities in the room, although the info sheet did say it was available anytime, but I could not get coffee when I returned about 10-15 in the evening. The setting for the B and B is lovely, courtyard and pool.I should mention the bathroom is extremely tiny ,so the sink is in the bedroom .Would we go again, yes.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about the St. Francis. We do apologize that noise from another room disturbed your sleep. A staff member is on property 24 hours a day to help assist with your needs, including in the event of noise complaints. As for your room, our website is very informative and has detailed descriptions of each of our 17 rooms. The Courtyard Room is described as small and cozy. And finally, the innkeeper should have described during check-in about our around the clock beverage station including water, iced tea, hot tea, coffee, and hot chocolate located in our sitting room off of the main lobby. Thank you again for your honestly and we hope that you will visit us another time.

Extremelly friendly and attentive staff, The breakfasts were way beyond expectation and the cottage was perfect for the two couples. Happy hour with local wines and the evening dessert topped off the stay. Would recommend to anyone

we stayed for three nights at the St. Francis, in a quiet mostly-secluded room. the location is great, in a quiet end of the historic section on a one-way brick road. we walked to the center of the old section at least twice a day to explore the area, and to restaurants each evening. it's a great town to walk in, day or night.
At the Inn, there are two buildings, and we were in the small house across the street from the main inn. we had our own entrance with a porch and chairs and small table, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine. the room was spacious and the bed was two doubles together as one large bed. TV was fine, plenty of storage for the three days. bathroom was spacious and we enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and shower without using up the hot water. the breakfasts were very tasty and filling, each day with a different special. coffees, juices, teas, various breads for the toaster, cereals, jams, and at least one special entree. Tuesdays are cheesy scrambled eggs and muffins, Wednesdays are waffles and sausages, Thursdays are quiches and oatmeal. all this with the other breakfast offerings, and they will make cappuchino for you as well. in the evening there is a cocktail hour, with free wine and beer, also offering mixed drinks for a fee. cocktail hour includes each day a different combination of chips and dips and veggies. later in the evening is the free dessert - we only had room one night for dessert, and it was a scrumptious chocolate cake with cherries. the hosts and staff were always friendly and helpful, answering every question about restaurants and pharmacies etc. they gave us free passes to the lighthouse, discounts for desserts at a variety of restaurants, and other goodies. we enjoyed the cocktails on the beautiful brick patio at the main inn, and chatted with other guests out there. a particularly great amenity is their beach house. the beaches are across the bridge from Old St. Augustine and about 6 miles farther along the island, so it would be a bit of a longish bike ride - we drove over to the beach. the Inn has a small house there, one of their own accommodations, and an additional small bungalow behind. however, for the guests at the main Inn in Old St. Augustine, there is also a shed with towels, chairs, umbrellas, beach toys and a fridge full of cold bottled water! you don't have to take anything with you except a book and sunscreen (and your code for the shed and your room key for the bungalow's bathroom). you can even shower there before returning to town. walk past just three houses to reach the beach. perfect.
the only problem i had with the Inn was the very soft bed (pillow top mattress).

Room Tip: Margaret's Room is across the road from the main Inn, with a private entrance. only four rooms...

Location was perfectly tucked into a nice quiet area, but close enough to walk to most attractions. Landscaping was very cute, with a big koi pond. It has a nice little pool in the back, but we didn't have time to test the waters. Heather at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The food there was very good - the best deserts ever and an awesome selection of teas. The room was immaculate! I couldn't find a speck of dust anywhere or anything out of place. The large bed was extremely comfortable, I slept like a rock. Thanks for a great stay!

Room Tip: We stayed in Margaret. It was off the back, so wonderfully tucked away, but they all seemed very ni...

The Inn located on the edge of the Historic district, but is within walking distance to all the major attractions. We stayed in Lilly's room which is well known in St. Augustine for having a lot of paranormal activity. There were several unexplained happenings during our stay including the lights being turned out and items being moved in the room. The room is very nice and cozy and a great place to stay even if you are not Ghost Hunting. There is a beautiful courtyard just outside the office. The staff was very pleasant informative and highly accommodating. We will surely return to the St. Francis Inn when we return to St. Augustine.

My husband and I, plus 16 of our families, held a small and intimate wedding at the St. Francis Inn a couple of weeks ago. We were very happy with the whole experience -- Kelly (the inn manager) and Janice (the chef and event coordinator) were really easy to work with and just so nice (like everyone there!). We housed all of our guests at the inn, so our guests were able to mingle during breakfast, cocktail hour, and throughout the day in the wonderful common spaces at the inn. One of the main reasons that I decided to have my wedding at the St. Francis Inn is that I loved how easy it was -- there was a set package for each guest that included food, drinks, setting up the space, the officiant, the whole nine yards. And when I had some special requests, I simply emailed or called the inn and they were great about accommodating where they could. At one point, we realized the flower order wasn't complete, but everyone in our party needed to get dressed because the ceremony was 30 minutes away (and the florist was 15 minutes away), so Kelly actually drove down to the florist for me. My husband loves cookies more than anything, so Janice worked with me to figure out a cookie menu in lieu of a wedding cake. I really feel the whole team at St. Francis Inn went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend the best possible.

Thereis so much to enjoy about this inn. The location is terrific. The amenities are abundant . So lets first rate the fantastic little details that made this a good experience. Everything was very clean. There is a happy hour with beer, wine and appetizer 's. A very tasty coffee and tea is available with cucumber water and plain water 24/7. The bed linen was wonderful. The towels are fluffy and nice robes are provided. There was a decanter with sherry in our room when we arrived. The courtyard is very lovely. We stayed on a weekend. There were bloody Mary's and mimosa served with our breakfast . A fantastic cold strawberry soup was served with a selection of yogurt and fruit. An assortment of cereals and breads. Then they really let out the stops with a fantastic mushroom, asparagus omelet , a delicious " French toast " unlike any I 've ever had before with whip cream on the side. The meat was sausage. It was really perfect! The staff could not be more helpful and nice to wake up to.

There were one or two down sides. I think it's the first Inn when the settlement started. You need to think of that when you consider the amount of space rooms had back in the day. We were on the ground floor as you walk in to the courthouse. I cannot speak about any other room. The bathroom was VERY small. Not an issue for me but a larger person might feel differently. You will hear the walking of the people above you.

It was perfect for our stay. Location and the generous and homemade food, wine and breakfast really fit the pace of how we wanted to explore the area.
