“Carriage Way Inn is my new favorite home away from home!”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

What a great place to stay! My fiance and I live about an hour away and have found a new favorite place to visit! We will definately be going back as soon as possible! The rooms were beautiful, we stayed in their cottage which included a jacuzzi tub in the room. They gave us bikes to ride around town, although most everything is walking distance from there. Larry and Jeanie were amazing, very hospitable and they served up a DELICIOUS breakfast! We are in love with this place!

We had a lovely stay for our Anniversary. The owners are delighful, helpful and so gracious. The location is great for strolling through the historic district. The porch is perfect for relaxing in the evening and people watching. I can't say enough about the food! Delicious! We will be going back again.

Delightful stay, gracious & helpful owners, delicious breakfasts. Perfect for all the in-town sites & restaurants. No parking worries - just walk everywhere!! Cookies, sodas & wine - was a nice touch. A wonderful experience.

Room Tip: The Miranda Room is really 1 bedroom (of 2) in a separate little cottage just 3 doors away - complet...

If the title doesn't say enough for The Carriage Way, let me continue. The porch was our favorite spot after strolling through town. Cold beverages in the fridge included frozen mugs and an assortment of fresh baked cookies each afternoon. Be pampered, treat yourself to a few days at the Carriage Way. Home baked bread is always a winner at breakfast. Book today.

I have been to St. Augustine many times and B&B's (incl in St. Aug), but the search to even try others is over. Never have we been greeted at the door with such a warm welcome and informative orientation to suggest attractions, restaurants, and of course those extras that you don't get elsewhere. Most places put out a snack or some wine for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Here--there are some for whenever you are there. Coffee- hot choc-tea- all fresh- all there- all day. The breakfast? OMG- Incredible stuffed blueberry french toast not to be believed. The room- very nicely appointed, warm, great natural right as well as soft lamps and remote control fan/light. Bed-sheets---Not always easy for me to sleep away from home due to this--but Nooo problem....and a decanter of sherry in the room. I never have had it--I may start :) Even if I didn't try it--what a wonderful touch. Hot fresh coffee in the morning right outside the room!!! LOCATION/parking--- more 5 stars. This is fairly priced...WELL worth paying over a cheaper hotel and I offer that you may find another nice place that is good--but better? That would be a monumental task. APPLAUSE to our hosts.

Room Tip: The Bonnie Hill I believe is the only room that has it's bathroom detached from the room, but it...

What a great experience! Exceptional service! The Johnson family knows what southern hospitality really means. They provide it every day! My wife and I can't wait for the next visit. If you're looking for great service and an ideal location, this is your choice.

We came here to stay in the heart of historic St. Augustine, and you really can't beat this location. Walking distance to everything and great charm. The hosts are so pleasant and accomodating. Breakfast is lovely and I would suggest enjoying it out on the front porch.

Room Tip: Bonnie Hill room is where we stayed, which was really sweet but the bathroom is down the hall a bit...
