We stayed in St Augustine last week and once again absolutely LOVED Carriage Way B & B!!! From the perfect location in the old town... to the wine and sherry, personal service, delicious breakfast, and beautul rooms with coffee served outside the door in the morning, our stay could not have been better! A GREAT B & B!!!

Thank you to John and Jeanie for the best stay I could possibly have had in St. Augustine. Clean, homey, comfy, and the beds were absolutely amazingly comfortable. Location is PERFECT, the food Jeanie made was superb! Even the other guest were pleasant and friendly. It was great and my teenage daughters loved it too. I highly would recommend your place to anyone looking to stay in St. Augustine. We will most definitely be back! :)

My wife and I had a great weekend at Carriage Way! John and Jeannie were wonderful. They were more than happy to accommodate us with a late check-in on our night of arrival. Even with that, John still took the time to sit with us and help us out with our weekend plans by pointing things out on the map and giving recommendations. We told him we had difficulty deciding on which room to book, so he let us take a look at the Elizabeth Gould room as well as the Pittman room we originally booked. Both rooms were beautiful, but we ended up switching to the Elizabeth Gould room because of the awesome skylights (photos don't do it justice), slightly larger bathroom, and private hallway. John had no problem at all with switching us even though it was last-minute.

The breakfasts were DIVINE. Jeannie's creme brulee french toast was the clear highlight among a spread of all kinds of awesome breakfast foods. I didn't come across a single thing I didn't like in the two mornings of our stay. Also, I've noticed in reviews of other B&B's in the area that some of them give smaller portions at breakfast. This was not the case at Carriage Way, as all the breakfast foods were laid out buffet-style, and we were welcome to get as much or as little as we wished. (By the way, don't get freaked out by "buffet-style". Nothing sat there for an extended period. Everything was super fresh.)

Other little touches made our stay especially wonderful. The refrigerator was always well-stocked with soda, beer, and wine for the taking. They even provided frosty mugs in the freezer! Fresh coffee was outside our door every morning. The temperature inside the house and room was always at 72 degrees, which was glorious considering the 100-degree heat index outside. When our ghost tour had to be cancelled last-minute because of the tour guide's illness, John not only gave us recommendations for replacement tours but even called and made our reservation for us. On our day of departure, John and Jeannie were happy to store our luggage in the house until we left later on in the afternoon (well after checkout time).

So all in all, this place is the real deal. It was worth every penny, and my wife and I are counting the days until we can come back. John, Jeannie, and the rest of the staff of Carriage Way have a top-notch bed and breakfast where you will feel both at home and on vacation at the same time. We love this place!

We had a top-wonderful stay at Carriage Way B&B, and would definitely come back and recommend. The rooms are cozy. Not large, but not small either. Everything is clean and more, it is carefully maintained with true care. It feels like living in your house. The location couldn't be better: Just meters away from the downtown, shops, restaurants and all interesting things to do, and yet, located in a quiet place. The front porch overlooking the street is a wonderful place to enjoy the evenings, reading or just enjoying the view. John and Casey are always helpful in everything. We wanted to go around the city in a bike and we found out we could use the bikes of the B&B. It was wonderful to be able to go to the lighthouse and later to the Castillo de San Marcos using the bike and enjoying the open air. I almost forgot to share about the breakfast! Delicious! Always freshly prepared with special sweet breads and also a different special dish each day. Finally, in the refrigerator there were sodas, water and beer that could be grabbed whenever one needed. Really, it was like being at home.
Thanks John for a wonderful stay! - Lucas Manterola and Family

We stayed at the Carriage Way B&B after deciding to extend our stay in St. Augustine for another night...we could not have been happier, the location was great (close to shops and restaurants) and John made us feel right at home...the rooms are cozy, clean and decorated victorian style, along with the clawfoot tub in the bathroom, made us feel like we had literally stepped back in time (bed and pillows were comfy), with the convenience of free wi-fi. In the morning, we enjoyed the summer breeze as we drank our coffee on the second floor balcony, and then we had a delicious breakfast made on the premises consisting of zucchini frittata, egg souffle (made with cream cheese and wine, YUM), fresh fruit and AMAZING homemade wheat bread on the first floor balcony...staying here was the perfect place to spend the last night of our vacation.
