“Average for breakfast - I don't know about dinner”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

Went here for breakfast/brunch. The menu was good enough, and the service was warm and friendly. The environment could do with a bit of a make-over - a lot of dark wood and paintwork that generally needs brightening up to make it seem anything like what it claims to be (a French restaurant, presumably like those you'd find in France). The food was OK but nothing to get excited about - eggs benedict is usually a pretty safe breakfast meal but this one came smothered with enough sauce to fill the plate, and it was kind of heavy and gave me the impression that it had come out of a can rather than being freshly made. But St Augustine is hardly a center of outstanding food, so in its context it might be a lot better than I thought on the basis of this one visit. And like I say, I haven't had dinner there.

“The Aroma”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

The moment we walked in for breakfast we knew we were in the right place for good food. It smelled so good. We had a lovely breakfast of french toast and great servcice. The portion size is small but try the desserts. They have wonderful fruit tarts and individual key lime cheese cakes.

“Perfectly Divine”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

Went with two friends to Le Bistro De Leon for a birthday do-over after six uf us had very bad meals and service the night before at Le Pavillon. (Knew from last years birthday that this Bistro De Leon was a sure thing)! The service by Carol and Stephanie was Outstanding. We had the Onion Soup, Crémet du Mont St Michel cheese, shrimp appetizer and pate and so many baskets of the perfectly crusted baguette's that we lost count! Everything....just as last year was Delicious. Plus, they brought me a complimentary birthday dessert of Madeleines and fresh fruit complete with birthday candle. LOVE this place with the quiant and convenient atmosphere, delicious French food and awesome staff. WIll go back every chance I get!
