The entrance to the museum is through a very pretty courtyard. The museum itself has a large collection of crystal and porcelain, and the fact that parts of it were originally a swimming pool is amazing.

I came here with my wife and extended family while on vacation. This museum has something for everyone. Paintings to buttons. This is definitely a must see while in St. Augustine. The museum takes about 1.5 hrs (or more if you read every exhibit) to go through.

Along with Castillo San Marco, this is the must see of a visit to St. Augustine. The three story museum is loaded with Victorian era artifacts and must be one of the few places in the US where so much can be seen in one convenient location...a pleasant journey back to the 1890s.

Not really sure what the theme was supposed to be but perhaps they don't need one. It has natural history items, art, jewelry, historical artifacts. We enjoyed it and found it very insteresting and eclectic.

It is located inside St Augustines City Hall which is a beautiful buildling to visit with it's grand courtyard on the way in to the museum.

Note: If you go the 1st Friday of each month the admission is free for access to the first floor.

Interesting exhibits but would've loved to see more pictures of what the hotel looked like inside before it was converted.
