Our daughter and son in law were married here, outdoors on the bridge. Just beautiful and the weather was great. The wedding authority handled everything. They are the best at what they do. The Lightner is the perfect setting for a wedding and the Sala Menendez room is right there for a beatiful reception.

We have toured several art museums from DC to Florida, this museum was a little different than we expected in a good way. We were looking for fine art period. But there were lovely pieces of clothing and other things that we did not expect to be a part of the collection.

Wow. It's a collection of collections. So cool. I've never seen anything like it. There are some really unusual objects housed here and there's a bit of history here too! Well worth a visit.

What a fantastic museum! My husband and I spent about an hour in the Lightner Museum, but honestly could have spent 3 hours there! Because we are St Johns County residents, our admission was free. Tickets are normally $10, I think. There are 3 floors worth of exhibits, and there is not enough room to describe everything you will see, but it is both beautiful and interesting. There is something everyone could enjoy, particularly if you are a history buff who appreciates the Gilded Age and the Victorian Era. There are no official tours; instead, you just walk around as you would in a regular museum, but there are friendly guides on every floor. I would NOT recommend bringing small children because there is so much glass!

Highly recommended and are planning on another visit!
