“Group of 25 enjoying the city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2013 via mobile

Group of 25 friends from Tampa in town for 3 days to tour the city. Pre-arranged, at a great price, a 3 day pass and a Nights of Lights tour and working with Jodi and Melissa was a pleasure. Had a great beginning with a private reserved ride for the Nights of Lights tour. Our driver/guide was GREAT! Have used the other tour trolley company in the past - this one is just as good but more FUN.

“Great with kids..good $..historical accuracy not so much.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2013 via mobile

2nd time around, the price was less than competitor with Night of Light combo. Check the trolley route so you head in the direction you want to go. Trolley does a loop and it can be a while before you get to your desired stop if its going the opposite direction. Last trolley around 5ish. Keep that in mind.
Don't expect great historical fact from drivers. Honestly they should just drive. During both our trips (4 yrs. apart,) drivers give info. about the history, but its sub par..
So don't count on factual info. from them & enjoy the ride.
-strollers/wheelchairs allowed folded.no pets.
This is an open trolley..if you are traveling with young ones during cold weather jackets are a must & we took a blanket for the evening Nights Of Lights trolley ride.
Lastly, if the Lighthouse & Alligator Farm are on your schedule.. the Red trolley has a free shuttle that will take you. Last shuttle is @ 3pm.

Thank you so much for your kind review. I am sorry that you didn't find it accurate. I can assure you that all of our drivers have to pass a city-wide tes prior to being able to give tours and we offer regular assessments to ensure accuracy. We do, however, not script our drivers as other tours do. This way, you don't get the same cookie cutter tour from each driver. Most people enjoy that each tour is slightly different so that they are all a new experience. Thank you again for choosing the Red Trains. We greatly appreciate the nice review too!

“Varied and entertaining with discrepancies”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2013

We used the Red Train to hop on and off seeing attractions for two days. We heard many spiels. And it was almost funny how much they did not agree with one another. I am not sure what is the actual history, but don't count on the trolley driver to give you right info. Some of their pronunciations were down right funny. one driver liked to swerve to make the ride different. One pushed liberal political views during his talk. One was tired and just rattled off whatever. One thought he was a teacher and we were all their for Q&A. The drivers actually made it quite entertaining, never knowing who we would get. And it was a great way to get around town. Once purchased it became a free transportation system for us. It did seem like there were more Green Trains (the competition) than Red.

Thank you so much for taking the Red Trains and for sharing your review. Each of our drivers has to be certified by the city and pass an annual test on the city's hisory before they can give a tour. We also hold recertifiction on a regular basis in house so thier tours should be similar in content, but we do allow each driver to add a little of their own flavor and color to the tours. This generally keeps the interest of people as other tours are scripted and you get the same tour time after time. We like to keep the historical content the same, with a little different flavor each tour! Thank you so much for choosing the trains!

“Convenient way to visit the best attractions in St. Augustine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2013

My wife is eight months pregnant so this train tour was great for us. We did not have to walk a lot and we were able to see the best attractions in the city. We bought a one day pass for $ 20 each. The driver was very knowledgeable and very informative while giving the tour.
It is a great way to move around the city if you don't want to walk too much.
I noticed almost no one tipped the driver, please do!

“Horrible. Don't go”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2013 via mobile

Liars. Waited an hour, then a full train came. My kids cried. Adults wanted to cry. Were difficult about getting a refund. Poor attitude at the desk. The dispatcher had other employees requesting additional trained, but the dispatcher ask her to not make the request to "hush" the lack of service. TERRIBLE!
