we LOVED the lighthouse and museum. It was the first time my oldest son and myself had been in a lighthouse so that was exciting for each of us. 219 steps to the top and worth every single one of them. You can see for miles from the top. The ocean breeze coming in the opened windows was nice when we stopped on a landing for a very short break on the way back down. The museum kept my son's interest. I do wish the play area was located somewhere else because my 2 younger children didn't go to the lighthouse and stayed behind with my mom. They weren't allowed to go past the gift shop without paying a fee and unfortunately that is where the play area is located. There is a little community park across the street though so they were able to stay entertained just as well over there while we were in the lighthouse
