“Night tour”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

We took the night tour and it was very cool. We didn't find any spirits but it wasn't because we were not looking, went into the woods which were super creepy at night but I couldn't get any spirits to come out and play. We also climbed the light house during the day for a great panoramic view of the St. Augustine shoreline.

“Awesome historical and fun place to take anyone!”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Some friends of ours that live north of St. Augustine took us here when we visited them. It was amazing. Love the ambiance, the "old south" feel to the place as well as the historical value that this lighthouse has for our country. It was really refreshing to experience a part of history that has been preserved so beautifully.
Be prepared as you will have to walk up 200+ wrought iron steps to get to the top! It was worth it though, the views are amazing! I am not a person who likes heights but I am so glad I did this!
The gift shop had some wonderful momentos and souvenirs as well. Well worth the trip and the stair climb.
One of the most awesome features was being able to look up into the very top and actually see all the hand cut glass around the main light of the lighthouse and the room where the lighthouse keeper kept their logs and things. Grounds also has the house that the lightkeeper and his family stayed in which was very cool and some cannons that you could get up close to for photo ops of your own!
People working there were so very nice and helpful. Just a very relaxing and enjoyable place to go with everyone!
There is a fee but I don't know what it was since our friends paid for it. It was not alot though.
Also had a beautiful walkway through a park like setting and a jungle gym thing for the kids to play on.

“Exercise with a view”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

I'm an affectionado...all lighthouses thrill me. The gift shop had a framed grouping of 5x7 ink/watercolor drawings of each one of the three lighthouses that I had toured in Florida in three days: Jupiter, Ponce Inlet and St. Augustine! I snagged that quickly for under $25!
