I was a little nervous based on the reviews I read. However, I have travled to at least 15 resorts in what I call "warm blue places" so I have some to compare to. This was no Caribbean high end resort but it was with out question the PERFECT weekend get away. The price was fair, $78 a night on Expedia or $99 a night calling direct.. The landscape was beautiful clean and well taken care of. Room was clean with a bit of a western look to it but modern and well styled. Cable TV phone but no wireless internet. However there was "eithernet" cable and it worked just fine. Coffee pot frig and a microwave also. Full size shower with plenty of clean linen. Two white cotton bathrobes were found in the closet. Plenty of private sitting places with Adirondack style chairs under palm and mango trees. One spot even had a nice propane fire pit. The Tiki bar was a bit small but well stocked and clean. A large outside eating area as well as an inside one. A very large peer. A long white sand beach that was also very cleaned and groomed.
The only negatives I can say were that the beach was not swimable in my opinion. Being in the bay it was a grassy slimy bottom. However there were two beautiful pools that were as clean as could be with lots of vegetation around them.
The restaurant was fare priced and I have no complaints about the food what so ever.
I will, with out a doubt be returning this year. As stated in some of the other reviews it is one of the biggest secrets on the west coat of FL.

The room was very nice. Received a military discount, resulting in thirty percent off the rack rate. The room, a one bedroom suite, was clean, well furnished, and modern. Parking was right in front of the unit, but that is not the case for all units. Neither of the two hot tubs were working during our stay. The fact that they advertised two hot tubs was a draw for us, so needless to say we were disappointed. The pool closest to Reception was dirty, with quite a bit of mulch floating around in it and settling to the bottom. The real bummer was the breakfast buffet at the restaurant. The food was COLD! And this was about 30 minutes after the buffet opened. Could not get anyone's attention to obtain Tabasco sauce, so wen into the kitchen and got it myself. Didn't seem to raise any eyebrows. No one ever offered coffee refills. A young man who appeared to be a manager made a quick, and I mean a very quick walk through the dining area, then disappeared. Breakfast was a bust. Stay away from the breakfast buffet (food at lunch and dinner is fine) and call to ascertain if the hot tubs are operational and pools clean before you arrive.

Thank you for your review.

We do apologize that neither of the Hot Tubs were working during your stay. At the time, there was a leak that was being repaired in the line of the Inn Hot Tub.,This has been repaired, and the Harborside Hot Tub unfortunately was out of order for that weekend only.

As for, the breakfast buffet we have addressed this as well and have not only improved the breakfast buffet but will be soon be offering a breakfast menu. Your review was brought to the attention of the manager of the service staff it was addressed, as this is not the type of service that is approved at the restaurant.

We staryed at the Resort for a high school class reunion with a large group. I've lived in the Orlando area for 17 years and never knew this place existed...it's Florida's best kept secret hideaway! The grounds are beautiful and the location is awesome! Our room was immaculate and had all of the amenities you could ask for when being away from home. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily and the staff was so friendly, helpful and accommodating! We loved standing on our balcony and watching the boats come in and out of the boat slips just below our window. The outdoor bar had delicious food, great drinks and a fantastic band! The pool was beautiful and relaxing. The beach area was small but large enough to walk and enjoy. Swimming in the water was uninviting as it was dirty and had a bit of a smell. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning soon!

My brother and I traveled down to the Sun City area for Mom's 85th birthday. I was famailiar with the area and the resort as I had watched it grow over the years with my visits to Mom.

Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking the harbor. We also watched the manatees play in the waters in front of us. My sisters brother and Mom all pre and post partied in our room. The views were great. Sunset was unbeleivable and the St. Pete bridge and skyline really made the night.

In the toolies? Yes, but great stores and restaurants are within driving distance if you wish to stay on the property dring the day. Tampa and St. Pete are great destinations as well as the Gulf coast beaches. Orlando is a great day trip.

Would I use the property again? You bet.

My father sister and I needed to be in Florida for a few days for a family funeral and stumpled across the Inn. All I can say is thank God that we found it before we were stuck in a plain hotel chain inland.

First of all, it is not a 5 star place by any stretch and if you are looking for that they you will need to look elsewhere.

We arrived on a Friday late afternoon, from traveling since 4 am if was great to check in and go have a cold beverage and something to eat right there at the resort. Nice Tiki Bar on the property, live music included.
Also a restaurant that did not disappoint. The food was fab and the manager was great.

They had 2 seperate pools at the hotel portion and more by the condo's.....wasn't all that refreshing as the weather was extremly hot, but it wasn't the fault of the resort. We made the best of the warm water, it was still better then the full sun.

Our jr suite was just perfect for us, small fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. We went to the grocery store and bought food, saving us a bundle rather then going out for every meal.

The beach sand was pretty rough for walking barefoot, we saw some manatees in the canal, and a shark that came in by the bay at dusk.

The staff and the locals that come to the Tiki bar at night were just great, had a great time and would return again, hopefully for a better occasion.

We spent a weekend at the hotel and had a great time. Great facilities, pools, tennis courts, restaurant, tiki bar and marina. The room was very nice, the location is great and the restaurant had very good food. Great place for the price. The only thing that could have made it better would be if they did not charge for boat parking for hotel guest, that was pricey.
