“A peaceful retreat off the beaten path”
Reviewed December 28, 2013

If you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is the place. We were very pleased with our recently remodeled room. There are tennis courts, at least one pool, and a private strip of beach. Great view of the Tampa skyline from the onsite restaurant. My only caution is that is is far (30-45 minutes) from attractions in Tampa.

Thank you for taking the time to review our resort. It is nice hearing that you enjoyed magnificent views from your room and the onsite restaurant. Many guests also enjoy our central location to Tampa, Sarasota, and St. Petersburg. Please visit us again soon!

My husband and I stayed here for 7 days4-21-12-4-27-12) for our honeymoon. The resort was about 45mins to an hour away from the airport in tampa which we didnt really mind. But keep that in mind because you will need a rental. The resort was very nice, this was my first time to FL and I was very pleased. The only down fall was with the resort was not near any attractions. All the places we went to Tampa, St pete, and clearwater beach all were about 45 to an hour away. Anywho, we had an AWESOME room!! it was on the harbor side of the resort. There are 2 different sides so be mindful when booking to chose the harbor side. Our room overlooked the pools and had the best few of the ocean I had ever seen. There is only 1 resturant on the resort which we didnt care for. But the rooms have a kitchenette with nice pots and pan for you to cook in. We knew that before we arrived so we budgeted some money for the market. Very quite , laid back resort, very nice senory. I wouldnt suggest bringing kids, there wasnt any activites there for them. All in all we enjoyed our trip here!

Room Tip: Chose harbor side of the resort. The higher the floor the better the view!!

Congratulations on your wedding! I am so glad to hear that we were able to provide enjoyable accommodations for your honeymoon! Thank you for taking the time to upload pictures from your recent stay. There is now a second restaurant on our resort, called "Hooks", which is open for lunch and dinner. Additionally, this week we have installed a new playground for the enjoyment of the little ones! I hope that you're able to visit us again in the future; possibly for an anniversary celebration!

Would love to go back, enjoyed our suite, the view, the restaurant . A great place for a couple or family. Loved watching the boats and the sunset. Cleaning staff were polite and asked if they could do anything for use.

Our one bedroom, one bath condo was located on the 2nd floor of the main building overlooking the pool and Tampa Bay. Although the rug was worn and needed replacement I did notice a dumpster in the parking lot full of old rugs so I believe they are keeping up with replacements. The kitchen was large with granite counter tops and all stanless steel appliances. Two flat screen tvs and a nice stereo. Bathroom was roomy with a large shower for two. The bath could of used hooks to hang your wet towels. We used the kitchen for our breakfasts and a couple of dinners. We used a beautiful built in gas grill at the pool area one evening. Every morning we would ride our bicycles around the area. One morning I brought my fishing pole that I had in my backpack and we rode the hard sand beach out to the kokomo where we fished. They also have a nice pier that goes way out for fishing. I could see the monsters swimming all under my feet but I could not catch them. A nice tiki bar and a resturant on the beach provided kareoke as well as a nice oldes one man band. We took a drive up to the power plant about 5 miles to the north to see the manatee viewing area. It's free and worth the trip. Big manatees everywhere as well as small shark looking fish that I think were spanish mackeral. We took a drive over theSkyway Bridge to Fort DeSoto park at the northern mouth of Tampa Bay. A beautiful beach as well as biking and fishing. This resort is a nice place to relaxe or to take a road trip to Anna Maria Island and the southern barrier islands down to Sarasota.

Room Tip: Bay view or Lagoon view.

Thank you so much for such a stellar review of our resort and also providing great pictures. Like you said, we are not far from entertaining area attractions, and are happy to hear that you had fun on property as well. We have replaced the carpets in the hallways and are in the process of professionally cleaning the carpets in all rooms as well. I am glad that you were able to enjoy the manatee viewing area at the nearby power plant. We have recently seen quite a few manatees right on property in our marina! Come visit again soon and hopefully you'll be able to catch the big monster fish by the pier!

Our large family stayed in the executive suite, and there was PLENTY of room. The kitchen had everything we needed and the grounds and setting were very nice and restful. We had a minor issue, but it was graciously and immediately resolved by the excellent customer service.

We stayed in a harbor side suite in Aug. through Tan. I was leery after reading some of the reviews, however, pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed our stay. Yes, the rooms do need some work. Our carpet needed replaced but the view and amenities more than made up for it. The kitchen was well-equipped and we just loved having a washer and dryer in our room. We did some kayaking, enjoyed the pools, and found the staff very friendly. We drove to Clearwater often, which was quite a hike, but well worth the drive. We plan to revisit this resort in the future.

Room Tip: Having a view of the harbor was wonderful.

Thank you for taking the time to review our resort. We are glad that you had a great time despite the shaky reviews you might have read. You will be happy to hear that we have replaced all of the hallway carpets and are currently in the process of having an outside vendor professionally clean the carpet & tile in all rooms as well. Like you said, there are plenty of fun activities for the family, and we are happy to hear that you took advantage of the many amenities we have to offer. We are eager to have you back so you can see our new carpets and the other continuous improvements that are being made to our resort.

My wife and I needed a place to stay near Sun City FL for one night. She found this "The Resort and Club at Little Harbor" not as close as we needed but slightly cheaper due to a promotion so we took the deal. Beware...... when we checked out they slapped on a "resort fee" that wiped out the so called "promotion" Not a bad place to stay not great

Thank you for taking the time to review our resort. I apologize that you were unaware of the resort fee we charge all of our guests. The $8/night fee is to help maintain the property, provide free local calls and WiFi, as well as maintain the pools, beach, and equipment for recreational activities. We do disclose the resort fee on all of our online promotions; however, we will be sure that it is more apparent on our next promotion so that you are not surprised. We hope that despite this small set back, you were able to enjoy our accommodations. We would love for you to visit us once more should you ever visit Sun City area again.
