“Speak Easy - Great Food”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

The location reminds me of a 20's speak easy where you have to have a password at the red door to enter! The inside is great for small or even larger parties! Plenty of tables for parties of 8 or more! The Staff and Food are excellent! The servers are great and able to give you recommendations on items to eat. The pizza is fantastic! We are still trying the rest of the menu but every Friday night at our house is pizza night, and this is our place!!!!! My family of 7 can eat off of 2 pies and some cheesy garlic bread for a fair price, full bellies and great atmosphere! Live music on Saturday nights - we haven't tried it out yet but hear it's 50's and 60's music and a packed house! They are closed Sunday and Monday. I highly recommend trying it out when you are in the area.. you won't be disappointed.

Vacationing from Wisconsin. The food and service was great. You may need to call for directions, we did. It's worth seeking out.

“Real Italian, prepared by real Italians, in an old Kmart?”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

I have only good to say here. The service, food, and entertainment were excellent and the atmosphere was amusing but pleasant. Big mike acting as maitre de seated us and got our server and entertained us with his exploits. The owners daughter was our server. The food was expertly prepared and quick as we were somewhat early. They even had a live one man entertainer there doing 50's and 60's era songs. The food was some of the best Italian food I and my wife have ever tasted. Don't be fooled by the funny entrance to the right of the main entrance to the old K-Mart building that is now a indoor flea market. Do treat yourself to a great meal and a fun time.

“Who would have known this was inside!”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

We never would have chosen this place for dinner based on its outside appearance but friends insited it was good even if they did not know the name. We were told to go to the red door in the old empty plaza. The restaurant is in an old K-Mart with a flea market at one end. There we found a RED door near the middle of the building, in a dark, empty plaza. Only a small "Pizza" sign near the door to give us a clue that we are in the right place. Once inside we did not feel much better about what we were going to eat. Very basic tables set up in a large open area. A one-man-band was playing old music at one end with a few people dancing and a buffet-looking kitchen at the other. We were quickly greeted by Big Mike, who made sure we had a table, drinks and whatever we asked for. He even sat down and chatted with us while we waited for our dinners. Food was especially good - some of the best NY italian we have had anywhere. Nothing fancy, just plain good food in a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend looking for the Red Door and enjoying what it has to offer behind it, you won't be dissappointed.
