At Johnny Longboats the waitstaff are all friendly, maybe the Salifish Marina staff should take a clue. The food is good and the restaurant is a pleasant place. Located across the street from the ocean, which you can not see due to sand dunes.
All in all it's a good place to relax and enjoy with friends and family.

This bar restaurant looks tempting from the outside. It's best attribute is its close proximity to several tourist resort hotels/timeshare condos. The crowd is exuberant to intoxicatedly boisterous. All good fun if not a little overloud. Mixed drinks were very expensive and watery.
Food is acceptable but unremarksbke and very expensive. In a one week tour, the was the least satisfactory but most expensive restaurant we visited, drawn in by its inexplicably high aggregate rating.
In short, thete really was nothing about tjis restaurant to infuce us to return. If you are staying in the area there are a number of far superior restaurants within a 15-20 minute drive

Don't waste your money if you are going for a good meal, if you are going for great service then this is your place. The music is way to loud. Overall food terrible ordered the special of the day crab cakes and sent them back they were terrible. Drinks were weak service great from what I could hear over the music.

If you want a restaurant with personality and pazzazz, try Johnny Longboat! The food is really good, and becuase it's 1 block from the beach, the breeze keeps the place open and Florida fresh. Hanging from the ceiling are all sorts of things to keep the eyes occupied while waiting for your meal. For instance, one of the "Jaws" robots is hanging there, as well as a life-sized pirate swinging from a hammock. It's obvious that the owner has a bit of a wacky sense of humor from the stuff that's hanging, protruding or standing all over the place.

The portions are huge! Plenty to take back to your hotel to eat later if you wish. There is also a variety, so that if you don't like the catch-of-the-day, you can choose something more conventional such as a 10 oz. burger!

Johnny Longboats is within walking distance of the Hilton Singer Island. What a gem! We had a super meal here. The food was tasty and the service was very good. There was live music playing and for us it was a great introduction to our stay. We will definitely return!
