Owner description: When it comes to shore diving, muck diving or just plain diving, the Blue Heron Bridge is often hailed as the best in the Americas. A great variety of life, easy shore entry and months of tropical warm water from late spring until late fall makes this a great place to dive. As the only dive shop located at the bridge inside Phil Foster Park, Blue Heron Bridge Scuba is uniquely placed to serve the needs of the dive community.

The water was warm and we went during high tide so visibility was excellent. We saw plenty of tropical fish, an eel and a stingray. Can't wait to get back!

Driving along this road and bridge seeing beautiful building and water. It was not a busy street, but we see beautiful architecture.

not that good anymore but there is a snorkeling trail and reef balls out in front of the beach now that make it better.. the dredging killed much coral and destroyed the area's unique fish habitat.. so sad!

This is a really great place to dive to see critters. There is lots of little life around. The park has great facilities. The best time to go is during the "slack" high tide for visibility reasons. If you don't mind tons of silt and have drift diving experience, other times will be fine for you too.

It's shallow enough that you could snorkel but most of the things under the bridge are "up close" things.

Typical life: reef fish, star fish, etc.

The micro-life is A+ with lots of cool crabs, shrimp and little critters. Big pillowy starfish litter the sea floor. Batfish, small rays and other unusual animals abound. And all it costs is a bottle of air. I dove it on a rainy day. My kids and wife played in the surf protected by the downpour from the bridge structure. Everyone wins.
