Owner description: The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price. The two vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men's and ladies restrooms. The Vessels are equipped with state of the art navigation and fish finding equipment. We also are offering PRIVATE charter trips on our 35 foot Contender center console for up to six passengers. Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches. Productive reefs (natural and artificial) exist in 50 feet through 200 feet of water. The Gulf Stream comes to its closest point of land around the Palm Beach and Jupiter Inlets. All of our fishing 'catching' is done from ¼ mile to 3 miles from shore. Catches consist of Kingfish, Snapper, Grouper, Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, Cobia, Barracuda, Sharks, False Albacore and Wahoo. The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary, but you can book online at our website. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising. FREE TRIP RAFFLE EACH EXCURSION!!

we went on 3-11.We were a family of 9.The swells were 5-7 feet.Needless to say we all were very sea sick,My son was fearful of the boat going down and tried to find lift jackets. There was none under the seat bench.(Why were not given them when we got on I do not know.)I do know that the crew laughed at us.One family member locked himself in the bathroom and no one knew. When we arrived we thought we had a man overboard. The crew never kept count of us even under this rough conditions. We were all down for the count. We just were defenseless. At one point we took water on board. If we went down we would of all died. They had our lives in their hands and were careless to say the least.

My two children aged 11 and 14, my husband and I all went on a Blue Heron fishing trip last year and can't wait to go back this year. The boat was impressive and they had everything very well organised. There was plenty of bait and they set up all the lines as we sailed out to the fishing spot. When we arrived, they explained what we should do and then it was just a matter of waiting for the fish to bite - and they did! My son caught a whopper: at least 10 pounds. It was so much fun. The crew are very helpful and friendly and your safety is paramount. I would highly recommend this as something to do for the whole family. It was very reasonably priced too. We are going back again in April and we all look forward to another day of fishing.

My husband, 2 daughters ages 12 & 16 & I went deep sea drift fishing with the Blue Heron Fleet out of Riviera Beach, Florida. We chose the Thursday afternoon 1:30-5:30 time. We set out on the 88 ft. Miss Blue Heron. My husband and oldest daughter had fished with them two years earlier, but my youngest and I were first timers. AJ & the captain were very helpful and patient. We used the ship's rods and reels, and our lines were baited and always ready to go. The restrooms and boat were clean, and we met many other pleasant fishermen and women on our afternoon outing. It was well-worth the $40 per adult and $30 for children 12 and under, and the next time we're visiting the area, we'll be sure to spend some time fishing with the Blue Heron Fleet!
