Best Peru Tours offered us a wonderful adventure with quality service. The (many) questions I had prior to our trip were answered in a timely and thorough fashion. Once in Peru, our guides took excellent care of us. They were clear, patient, and helpful all along the way. Turns out, my son took ill just prior to our hike on the Inca Trail and another guide came to assist us with everything we needed (alternate hostel, medical care, food, transportation) until we could meet up with our group a few days down the road.

I am a retired tour operator since 2008 I been travelling with friends & family to Egypt, Jordan, Vietnam, Cambodia, India & Nepal. So this year we travelled to South America and decided to use Best Peru Tour. David Ochoa taylored a tour for the 12 of us to Lima,Cusco, Sacred Valley, & Magnificent Machu Picchu. As a tour operator I tend to look at the operation aspects of the tour. If it run smoothly then everything will fall into place.

All the transportations like flights, trains, tours , coaches, and transfer was seemless. All the hotels was better then expectation especially Inkapalla in Sacred Valley & Casa del Sol in Aguas Calientes.

All their associates & guides are friendly, helpful & knowledgeable especially Alavro our guide to Machu Picchu.

Thanks again David

We planned our trip through Best Peru Tours (AKA Peru Travel & Tours). The company was great to work with. Pickups and transfers were all on time and easy to find (they were always there waiting for us). We booked the 10 day Amazonian and Andean Dreams tour and loved it. It’s a lot of traveling throughout the country, but you get to see and do a lot – which was amazing! The hotels were all nice and located in good areas.

A few disappointments... Pisac market was closed when we went due to construction. The train tracks to Machu Picchu were closed part way, so we had to take a bus part way, then the train the remainder of the way. Although these two things were not the fault of Best Peru Tours, we were disappointed that Best Peru Tours didn’t inform us of this before we arrived in Peru.

Overall, the trip was great and we thought Best Peru Tours did a fantastic job. We loved the Amazonian and Andean Dreams tour because we got to experience so much. The Amazon is definitely worth visiting! Their prices seemed very reasonable for everything included. We don’t know Spanish and weren’t familiar with Peru, so it was wonderful to have a company organize everything for us, but yet still have some time to explore on our own. We will consider Best Peru Tours for any other South American trips and would recommend Best Peru Tours to others.

I must commend best peru tours. Their customer service was impeccable. We recently went to Lima, cusco , and puno. Unfortunately we delve oped altitude sickness in a foreign land. Via email, I was able to reach David Ochoa who coordinated our departure within 12 hours ( really amazing considering the airport). The guides were always on time. Every thing was well coordinated. Don't go to peru without the well put together tours these people are able to do.

That being said, I would recommend not trying to go from cusco to Machu Picchu in one day. It is too many buses and trains. It is at least 3-4 hours each way. Stay in one of the small towns closer. The sites are breathtaking, but the travel can be exhausting. After getting acclimated to cusco, I recommend travelling to Augus caliente for the night. Then wake up early and climb Machu Picchu early before the crowds. It would have been better that way.

In Lima, make sure your hotel is on a quite street. We stayed at the hotel Britannia. Unfortunately it was noisy, largely because the drivers in peru never take their hand off the horn! It makes for sleepless nites.

Also, pleas e recognize there is a big difference between 3-4 starts American and 3-4 starts peru. If you can afford it stay at nicer hotels.

Again, we would have been lost without David Ochoa and best peru tours. I highly recommend them.
