This is quite an experience if you never saw a wild pig or lots of alligators or wild turkeys or the Florida panther.

“Great way to see nature and go back in time!”
Reviewed January 10, 2012

This is worth the trip - it's a way to go back time and back to Old Florida. If you take a tour you'll see at least some of their animals including a view of the alligators in their natural habitat (safe distance but great pictures) as well as a breathtaking view. They have 13 endangered species on the property, included bald eagle nests -this is a tour where you will learn, see beautiful sites, but seeing the animal all depends on them because it's natural habitat. The cougar they have that used to be a pet, alligators, catteleand calves, birds, amazing plants are a guarantee. They also have cowboys - on horses! Something I want to try is the longer tour wih the three course meal in the old home, where the view is supposed to be amazing. This is a fun family, couples, friends attraction - where the focus isn't on anything but appreciating nature and discovering FL wildlife as well as learning about the history of an amazing large area of land. I said for so long I need to go - and now I can't wait to get back!

“Friendly staff, interesting little museum”
Reviewed January 4, 2012

A surprisingly interesting bijou military museum at the beginning of the shopping area on the dock in Punta Gorda. Run by volunteers with some intriguing exhibits. Worth a visit if you're in the area. Free parking across the street.
