“Super Club style!”

I have been here several times and I enjoy eating out on the patio, very nice views. I like that you get the salad bar with your entrée. Service was very good.

“Nice restaurant in the Fishermans Village in Punta Gorda”
Reviewed January 29, 2014

This restaurant is located at the end of the beautiful Fishermans Village area in Punta Gorda near Port Charlotte in Florida. It is located right at the waterfront with nice outdoor sitting areas overlooking the bay. The food is good, but the reason I qualified "average" is that 2 out of our party of 6 ordered mahi mahi fish which was not cooked to what it should be. The other 4 ordered other dishes which were good. In general good price/quality ratio in a beautiful setting.
Parking space is extensive but be aware that it can be very busy: we had to drive around before we found a parking space.
We certainly recommend a visit to Fishermans Village and the Captain's Table restaurant but ask for the mahi mahi dish to be cooked very well.

“Ok ”
Reviewed January 25, 2014 via mobile

Lunch menu on a Saturday seemed uninspired. Food was ok but not much care put into prep. Has the potential to be a wonderful restaurant being right on the water but the food needs improvement

“Great food, great service”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

Captain's Table took excellent care of our group of 30 ladies at lunch today. We ordered from the menu. Meals were quickly served, well priced and lots of choice. The view of the Peace River from every seat is spectacular. Evening meals, and the buffet are also excellent. Make this a stop next time you are looking for a special treat ! View the menu online to get an idea of prices and variety of dishes. Matt was our waiter and took good care of our table.

“OK food but thin drinks and sense of neglect”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

We wanted to follow our Christmas lights cruise with a nice dinner, so we picked Captain's Table because it was right at the Fishermen's Village pier.

The view did not disappoint - the restaurant sits right at the end of the pier, overlooking the harbor. But the food was just OK, and a bit pricey. And the drinks seemed to have no alcohol in them at all! And, curiously, a strawberry daiquiri arrived topped with whipped cream.

More upsetting, the place had a general air of indifference, from the many burned out bulbs in the wall sconces to the overflowing trash and floor litter in the restrooms, and the empty drink glass which sat on the piano from the time we entered until we left, even though several waiters were standing around in the bar area talking to each other. And our table was not set with linen as mentioned by another reviewer - just a bare table with silverware rolled in a napkin.

The entrees seemed only warm, even though served on "hot" plates. Perhaps they had been sitting under the warming lamp too long. And the shrimp in the shrimp cocktail tasted old.

The salad bar was mediocre/random in its food selection and poorly run. There was spilled food everywhere, including the surfaces where guests would normally set their dishes down while making selections. And when we were there a batch of shredded cabbage intended for making cole slaw had been mistakenly placed on the salad bar next to the tired lettuce.

Perhaps some of the key staff were on vacation, or maybe it was just a bad night. But if we return we'll skip the food and the watery drinks and just order a beer or a glass of wine and enjoy the nice view.
