“Tour a huge working Florida ranch and see native animals.”

Grandkids (5&6) were here and we needed to keep them occupied, well our visit to Babcock was wonderful. We had a cracker cattle stick its head inside the bus, saw tons of gators w/o worry, learned about various horses and procedures used and the kids enjoyed it as well as the adults! A great tour, a fun guide, would highly recommend it as a learning experience.

“Wonderful trip back to old Florida”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

We have lived here for several years and vacationed her for more than 20 without ever having visited Babcock Wilderness Adventures. I am so glad that we finally made the trip! We took the 10 am tour so the temperature was perfect and there were no bugs. I suggest carrying bug spray anywhere you go in FL though because you just never know! Everyone from the cashier to our tour guide, Terry, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw tons of owls, snakes, birds, turkey, cattle, horses, and lots of gators! The property is gorgeous and just what I imagined old time FL would have looked like to the pioneers. The various ecosystems make for an engaging tour and we will go back during a different season to see the changes in landscape. We did use a groupon, which made it a very affordable morning outing for three.

“Babcock Ranch”
Reviewed December 3, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

What a pleasant afternoon touring the Babcock Ranch. We saw many birds, deer, snakes, and especially alligators!! We had our daughter and her family here with us for a visit. Since both our daughter and son-in-law are teachers and thoroughly enjoyed the outing.

“Wild Adventure”
Reviewed November 19, 2013

We have always wanted to try Babcock Wilderness Adventures, however at almost $20 a person, it hasn't been in our budget lately. That was until they ran a special offer on Groupon in which they had 2 for 1 special. So we headed east to their property and had a blast. We saw a bunch of wildlife on our tour, including a ton of gators. I really enjoyed the boardwalk through the swamp, however it was sad that their Southern Cougar was having medical problems while we were there. One warning through, this is in the wild so be prepared for lots of mosquitos on the tour. We also tried to walk the hiking trail and it was knee to waist high in grass so we turned around and went back to the visitors center and waited for our tour. I am glad they offered such a great deal and glad we got to enjoy the tour.

The pain of this attraction began when the skies opened above us and the torrents fell, the water flooding straight into the bus due to the lack of windows. The cracks of lightning directly above were even more terrifying because of the fact we were in a tin bus. Nevertheless, the tour carried on and we listened half heartedly to the different types of plants found in the swamp as we tirelessly tried to swat away the wave of mosquitoes feasting on us. I have never been so disheartened to hear that the tour must go on. I dismounted the bus soaked, bitten and sad. I'm aware that the weather is uncontrollable but some provisions should be taken if the storm is directly overhead; even windows that can be closed should it begin to rain or something.

We are so sorry to hear of your bad experience at the tour. Unfortunately weather can come up fairly quickly and we are not able to turn around and go back after we reach a certain point in the tour. If you would like to give us another try please contact me at 800-500-5583.
