“Best Bands and Good Mexican Food”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Owners know what bands to book to keep their patrons happy although sometimes a little too loud (be sure the staff properly hears your order after 8:30 when music begins). You may not find a seat if you don't arrive by 8 am and if you sit at the active bar area, you will have to deal with patrons trying to buy drinks over your shoulders all night long and a wet bar. The food is good, the staff is happy and friendly and the environment is upbeat. Patrons vary in age and crowds tend to change with bands. Zombie University, Next Level, Torch, Clive, Brown Suga, American Made and lots of other great bands and musicians.

“Not That Great Just Average”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Had lunch here recently but not very impressed. The food was average and the service was not so good. Tried it once and that was enough.
Do not even give you the typical chips and salsa that every Mexican restaurant greets you with when taking your drink order.

“Not Just Good Mexican Food”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

We moved to the area about 18 months ago, and are still checking out local restaurants to find good food. We've eaten at Dean's several times. While the menu isn't particularly trendy, we have found that they do a good job on a large variety of both Mexican and American dishes. They get good marks by the locals for having a better than average burger - and we concur. Dean's does a good job serving up better-than-average food consistently and is a safe place to go when dining out - even for breakfast. We'd give it better marks than some of the restaurants that rank higher on Trip Advisor in Punta Gorda. The outdoor/bar dining is fun and there's a nice indoor dining area, also.
