“A Great Dining Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014

We went here for the first time and what a wonderful surprise from the other restaurants here in Punta Gorda. The harbor view was amazing. We sat outside on the balcony and really enjoyed the view. The place has a great ambience and the waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was good but it is a little pricey. They have a good selection of beers on tap. I had the salmon and it was very good. Try it!

“Beautiful view-ok food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2014 via mobile

If you go here make sure you sit outside overlooking the water. The view of the marina and the sunset over the gulf is worth the visit. The indoor ambience is nothing special.
The food is good but average at best. The seafood dip was more of a soup than a dip. The seafood platter was good and the grouper filet was nice and flaky. The sushi was good but nothing special.
The entrees were not over priced and the portions were ample. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and had a good grasp of the menu and wines.
If you are looking for a nice dinner and a sunset, this is a good choice.

“Beautiful View, Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2014

My friend and I went their for lunch. Their outside deck is covered and has lots of fans which allows you to eat outside when it is sunny and hot. You sit looking over the Peace River and a marina. It is a very peaceful and relaxing view. The menu features a variety of seafood. They also have a sushi menu. As it turned out, both of us had a crab cake sandwich. It was served on a croissant with fries, coleslaw and a pickle (you could have sweet potato fries). Cost $13. Ice tea was $2.50. The crab cake was very good and of a generous size. It wasn't lump crabmeat but there was a lot of crabmeat and the seasonings were excellent. The service was very good. What impressed me was the waitress gave us a glass of ice (which she refreshed) so we could keep our ice tea cold. (So often you get ice tea refills but you are out of ice) The server was pleasant and efficient. For the area, the lunch is a little pricey, but throw in the view, and it is worth it. They also feature an area of special drinks.

“Not a fan...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014

I know this place gets packed, but the food is not really that good. Please hire some real chefs if you are promoting yourself as a "seafood restaurant". Have your cook go try the salmon at Perfect Caper. They will see a difference! When I order something to go, bar staff have an attitude, like it's too much of a hassle for them to check on my order which should have been ready. Rethink your hiring strategies. You hire lots of young people who would rather stand around talking with one another than provide good service to customers. Often, you have more staff than customers...not a good ratio. You only play mostly country. Not everyone is into country. I started not coming as I don't want to hear country every time I dine there. I asked staff if they could change the music one day, and they said they are not allowed as the owner only wants country to be played. Shouldn't it be about the customers??
