“Shopping and Lunch”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Friend heard about this place so we decided to check it out. It is a nice size so you can stroll around and enjoy the shops. It was fun going in and out of the shops and of course buying a few things along the way. Very pleasant atmosphere. There are plenty of spots to sit and relax. There are also a number of nice restaurants. We went to Beneath the Sea and had lunch overlooking the water. Overall a very nice place to visit. Very glad we checked it out.

“Showing its age, but still fun shopping and dining”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Fishermen's Village is a Marina, time share and Shopping district on piers extending into Charlotte Harbor in Punta Gorda SW Florida. After 30 years, it needs a bit of updating, but the individual shops inside and the Harbor front dining at Harpoon Harry's is still a lot of fun. Clothing, shoes, artwork and gifts can be purchased for the family freezing back home up north. Outdoor dining and cnady shops for the kids makes this a good place to go on a cloudy, rainy day. Be prepared for a parking nightmare. It's always packed, even on Sunny days.

“A pleasant stop on the way to Ft.Myers.”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

My wife and I were driving to Ft. Myers and as it was lunch time, we decided to stop at a complex of shops and restaurants called Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda on the way. We were glad that we did. We had an excellent lunch with water views at the Village Oyster Bar and toured most of the small specialty shops in the complex. The place was quite busy with shoppers and diners and we enjoyed seeing various products for sale in the varied shops, even making a purchase or two ourselves. The complex is open air, clean, and well maintained. There is a large parking lot and it is directly on Charlotte Harbor for some nice water views. In adition to the shops and restaurants, it is also apparently a resort where you can rent accomodations which are located on the second level. It appears that a lot of the locals come here to eat and shop along with the tourist. On the day we were there, there a gentleman with a guitar entertaining the customers and he was pretty good. There is a marina as part of the complex. On the day we were there while having lunch, we got to view replicas of Columbus' ships the Pinta and the Nina coming down the channel. They tied up at the marina and we got to see them close up, a nice surprise. We really enjoyed the complex and will return again on our next visit to Punta Gorda

“Much better than a mall!”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Being an old geezer, I'm not real fond of shopping. But this open-air, under roof row of shops with a view, was enjoyable. All the shops are small and some, reasonably priced. The view of the boat harbor is a nice diversion. Good restaurants too.

“We often take our northern guests here”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

We make this a destination along with the rest of Punta Gorda, and have lunch at the Seafood Market half way out the pier. The shops are great here for poking around, but my favorite is Laf Out Loud that sells games and funny cards.
