“Punta Gorda's Gem on the Water”
Reviewed January 31, 2012

Fisherman's Village is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing day in a tropical florida setting. Many people head for the sites in Sarasota and Ft. Myers and pass right through Punta Gorda. The Village is worth taking a side trip. There are even condos available for a longer visit. A variety of shops and restaurants line the covered walkway. One offers wine tasting while another offers several varieties of olive oil and balsamic vinegar to taste and purchase. The Military Heritage Museum is also located in the Village! Dining with a view of Charlotte Harbor is available. While you're visiting, rent a boat for a day or half day or take one of King Fisher's daily trips. You'll find something special for everyone!

It's a nice place to spend time browsing through the shops and having lunch or dinner at any one of the good restaurants.

“Quaint meets classy”
Reviewed January 28, 2012

This is a fun place to stroll and check out some nice shops. As with all tourist areas, it's a bit pricy at times, but there are bargains to be had, too. One of my particular favorites was a shop that featured hand blown glass. Clothing stores and novelty shops are fun to explore. There are a few restaurants too. We've been to Harpoon Harry's a couple of times at lunch and dinner. The food varies from average to good, but prices for a waterfront restaurant are cheap!
