Recommended length of visit: 1-2 hours
Owner description: The River Lilly is a 34-passenger pontoon boat, licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and owned by Eddie and Stephanie Hamrick. Eddie is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain. The cruise, on parts of the river so wild they were used in the James Bond film Moonraker to represent a tributary of the Amazon, is on the same waters used by early settlers and Native Americans. Each trip is different, but you're sure to see alligators, turtles and lots of native birds, maybe even playful otters or gentle manatees.

My sister, her husband and I enjoyed our cruise. The guides were very friendly and helpful. We missed seeing manatees, although we understand that this isn't Disney, and wildlife doesn't appear at will! We did enjoy the alligators and wild birds. I got some great photos. If you're looking for relaxation and some communing with nature, this is a worthy choice.

“Lovely Gentle Cruise”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 23, 2014 via mobile

This was our first introduction to Florida wildlife and we really enjoyed this relaxing cruise. It is a great shame that others on the river did not stick to the generous speed limits and we were taken aback by high speed boats in an area of such natural beauty. This did not detract too much from our cruise, and we enjoyed the commentary very much. We saw lots of birds and a manatee popped his head up several times. Highly recommended for all ages.

“Not to be missed tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014

We had am excellent tour of the Port St. Lucie River. The naturalist on board was informative, we saw many varieties of birds, alligators, many different species of trees and plants and a little history of the area. This is definitely a tour not to be missed.

“The real "treasure" in Treasure Coast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2014

I've reviewed the outstanding partnership of Captain Dana and naturalist/guide Deena in the past and now feel the need to talk just a bit more. What's changed is that I've taken some similarly-themed eco-tours in nearby coastal cities and am more than a little surprised how poorly they stack up to the River Lilly experience. Dana and Deena are true professionals who present the natural world of the St. Lucie River in an interesting, intimate, and involving way. They care about what they do and you will care too. This comfortable river cruise is a treat that I enjoy every time I visit this area.

“Fun and informative”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2014 via mobile

We had a great time. The captain and his co-captain take you to the beautiful jungles of the Port St Lucie River to see alligators, turtles, snakes and manatees. They have also seen wild pigs and armadillos. Their know ledge of this river habitat is unbelievable and they share it in a fun and relaxed fashion. The tour is supposed to be one hour and a half, but you can tell that they are not watching the time because they want it make sure that you're having the time of your lives! I highly recommend this experience if you are down in the Port St Lucie area.
