“Not worth the hype”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

Everyone said go to this place...well the wait was 3 hours after we were told 1 hour. Yes I know the place is small but when you have locals coming in after us and eating before us not great. The food was only so-so. Next, time we will make the drive to Boss Oyster.

“Great Food”
Reviewed September 25, 2012

Just got back from dinnner. We tried stuffed shrimp, baked oysters, steamed oysters, and steamed shrimp. All was very tasty and service was pretty quick. One great thing was that they had no problem with add ons that we ordered half way thru the meal. Will defintely have to go back!

“Fun place”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

TripAdvisor, a friend, and a forum I frequent all recommended this place, so we had to try it.

As luck would have it, they were out of oysters. Sign said: "We are out of oysters. This is not a joke". An employee (a family member, we think) took time to explain to us why oysters were not currently a healthy option.

The gumbo was the best we had ever had! The steamed shrimp were awesome, too. As others have said, this is obviously a favorite with locals.

Yeah, you need to try it.

The sign on front does not specifically says Indian Pass Raw Bar--it says something like Indian Pass Store, so be ready to pull in.

“Will go back!”
Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I really liked this place. We were the only guests on a Tuesday evening. They were out of oysters (just like everyone else in the area), but we found other stuff to eat. Husband had the crab stuffed shrimp and gumbo. Both were awesome and their gumbo was one of the best ones I've ever had. I wasn't feeling seafood that night and got the burger. Don't do that if you go there! It was very average and I should have just ordered a gumbo myself. I love that the drinks are self serve. The entire staff was super friendly and loved to chat with us. They even invited us to come back and listen to some live music with them on Friday night. We will definitely go back next time and hopefully they will have some oysters then.

“No Frills but Great Food”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

We loved this place. It is no frills with very basic decor and a limited menu. But the food they have makes it worth the trip. The steamed shrimp, stuffed shrimp and crab legs were unbelievably good. They also carry a variety of good cold bottle beer and draft. (We have heard the oysters are great, but they were out of them the day we visited.) We also tried the key lime pie, and it was delicious. We will go back the next time we visit the Forgotten Coast.
