“First visit to Gracie Omalleys”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

Last night 4 of us decided to try Gracies for dinner for the first time. This is our 4th year spending the month of March in this area, but Gracies was never open and we have been to pretty much every restaurant around. We were pleasantly surprised with the decor and the menu, very nice. Between us we had fish and chips, shrimp alfredo, and bangers and mash. Everything we had was excellent with large portions and very reasonable prices. The hostess and our waitress could not have given us better service. Our drinks and food were served quickly, can't beat the 99 cent frosted mugs of rolling rock. The manager stopped by our table to ask how the meals and service were which was nice. The menu was more Irish pub fare, no raw oysters, a nice change for the area. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

“Slooow service!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

Need some competent wait staff and some kitchen efficiency . We were seated with a warning they were short staffed. The restaurant was not at all full and seemingly enough help but after drink order was taken it took 20 min to get 2 beers. another 15 min to get our dinner order taken. After nearly an hour since seated our dinner arrived. Mine Shrimp Alfredo was room temp. Wife's dinner was OK at least warm. By this time there were only 3 tables with customers. No excuse for this. @ beers were brought as a peace offering for the slow service while we were waiting. they were warm and flat. I suspect they were our original beer order and were sitting. Table next to us with 4 people had a similar experience and they only ordered sandwiches. At this point we had to hunt down a server to get our check. Two many other good places to eat in the Port St. Joe area.

“Worst restaurant food I have had in years”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

This is my first negative review. I am an easy customer...however , the food I chose at this restaurant was a mistake. For $18 I ordered the crab cakes. The crab cakes (2) came to the table a gray-green color and once I tasted them...it was obvious that they were made of a pancake or bisquick mix with some old bay and maybe some powdered rosemary and lots of it....however I couldn't find any crab meat!. The vegetable medley is the exact medley I buy from GFS. Very disappointing. The beer was good! But a previous post brags about 99cent beers....only Rolling Rock is 99cents. We were in the area for 8 days and ate a several amazing restaurants, this one was not one of them. The deck view is beautiful.....but the kitchen needs a visit from Kitchen Impossible!

“Newly reopened Gracie O'Malley's”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013 via mobile

Gracie's has been closed for the last two years when we were here. Nice to see it open again-great setting, wonderful view of the bay. Good food with nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. It has a ramp and elevator so it is accessible to everyone.

“Jury still out”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2013

New ownership and maybe still trying to develop consistancy. In 2 visits the service and drinks were inconsistant. The menu has a nice variety however the dishes were just ok. Nothing special. Can't beat the atmosphere and view.
