My wife and I wanted a nice get away for a couple nights ... after doing a little research decided to stay at the Cape San Blas Inn in beautiful Port St. Joe, Fl. Couldn't have been more pleased. Clean nice room ... coffee, fresh orange juice and breakfast in the morning serviced on our private screen porch right outside our door overlooking the bay. In close driving distance to Port St Joe and Apalachicola -- both had nice restuarants options and unique shops. The Inn has canoes and bikes for your use ... beautiful state park with great nationally recognized beaches a short bike ride away. Nice gulf beach across the street from the Inn. The innkeeper, Wendy, couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Highly recommend this Inn ... sure will come again, the next time we visit the area. Lots of good seafood options at local restaurants - plus if you like Mexican Food do try 'Peppers'WeW in St Joe - Great reasonably priced food and excellent service. Right across the stree from the Inn is the Trading Post ... sell groceries and wonderful pizza to go or eat their

Room Tip: Recommend you go to the Inn's website and look at the options ... we had the Scallop Room on the...

I whisked my husband away for a two-day stay at the Cape San Blas Inn to celebrate his birthday. What a great choice! Off the beaten path, the inn is located with the bay at the rear and the gulf beach across the street to the front. The activities are numerous to accommodate all tastes. Bikes are available to ride, canoes and kayaks will take you around mangroves or simply into the Bay. At the end of the day, you can relax in the hot tub located at the end of a boardwalk leading into the Bay and loose yourself under the Florida moon.

The house is immaculate, modern with comfort and coziness a prime target. There are a variety of rooms available with some more spacious than others, but even the the smaller ones are perfectly adequate with other amenities to compensate. Our room was small, but we had a lovely screen porch where we were invited to eat our breakfast. I recommend that you specify you requirements up front, and the innkeeper Wendy will do her best to accommodate you.

This bring me to the best part of our stay, and the part is named "Wendy". This young lady is absolutely AWESOME going above and beyond our expectations to make us feel comfortable and at home. She is also a marvelous cook, providing breakfast treats (a different one each day), with taste and presentation comparable to some gourmet restaurants which I've visited.
Do not miss visiting this vacation wonderland.

Room Tip: If you want an in-room couch, especially during cooler weather, specify when making reservations.

I visited this wonderful location back in September, and really enjoyed every minute of it. The area itself was a pleasant surprise, and The Cape San Blas Inn was perfect. Wendy is such a great host, and a really, really good cook. I enjoyed her hospitality, as well as that of her entire family, who all helped me to feel at home.

If you havent been there, Cape San Blas is really nice. And, being able to hit the beach and then follow up on the backwater behind the Inn was fantastic! I loved using their kayak.

For me, it was a great stay at a great location. Wendy's husband Glenn gave me some good tips on where to eat, and both were silver bullets (Up the Creek Raw Bar in Apalachicola, and the Indian Pass Raw Bar).

I wholeheartedly recommend a stay at this Inn.

We spent two days at this Inn, located between the beach and the bay. The Inn is immaculate....clean, comfortable and ideally located. There were very few people around at this time of theyear. The Inn has rooms on first and second floor, ours being on the first floor right off the lobby. It was a bit noisy when cars came and went and with the street right outside our window, but due to low season there wasn't much traffic. There are canoes, kayaks, beach chairs and bikes for use for free, a beautiful bike trail running down the peninsula right outside our door and the bay on one side for kayaking and the ocean right across the street. The sand is beautiful white and powdery and I can easily see how it rates as one of the best beaches. There are pretty dunes, lots of shells and easy accessibility. St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is a few miles down the road with hiking trails and beach access as well. The breakfast was to die for....huge waffles, cream, fresh fruit, sausage the morning we were there. The staff was friendly and there when you needed them but otherwise out of the way. The rooms were small but accomodating. Our king bed had dual firmness controls, a new large flatscreen TV, private porch with table and chairs and large bathroom. My only complaints would be that the lighting is terrible....I don't think the owners have spent a night in that room (Sand Dollar room). The lights by the bed are small and dim and that is the only lighting in the room. The bathroom as well has very dim lighting. Also, there is no individual room control for air/heat, just one central for the entire building I am told....and it was warm. We ended up leaving our fan on and the door to the patio open all night to cool things down. We enjoyed our stay, it's a beautiful, peaceful place and LOVED our dinner at nearby Indian Pass Raw Bar....a local institution for fresh oysters and shrimp in a casual low key setting(and old country store). Because it was off season there were few restaurants to choose from....this was a GREAT choice. Its casual and low key, friendly folks and the price is right for fresh Appalacicola Oysters. A beautiful out of the way part of Florida.

Room Tip: I imagine a room not on the front of the building would be quieter in season, but off season it wasn...

My significant other and I just spent a weekend at the inn and were excited about EVERY part of our stay! When we arrived we were greeted by Wendy and were whisked upstairs to the Coquina Room. This room was ideal for us since it was upstairs and had a balcony that looked across the street towards the beach where we could watch the sun go down. The inn has everything you need to enjoy a weekend with the one you love. They provided bikes, kayaks/canoes, beach chairs, and a scrumptious breakfast every morning! The front of the inn is very welcoming, as is the inside, and the back of the inn takes you to a true natural paradise. You can sit out on the patio and have breakfast or evening cocktails, walk out to the deck and launch a canoe/kayak, or you can sneak to the hot tub and gaze at the millions of stars at night! Can you tell this place is amazing? So, go! As far as things we did, we rode bikes, walked the beach, took advantage of the hot tub often, and rode into town (10-15 minutes) for dinner each night. If you uncover the hidden secret that is Cape San Blas and the Cape San Blas Inn...you will be so glad you did!

Room Tip: We stayed in Coquina shell that is upstairs and in the front of the inn. There is no direct view of...

We stayed 2 nights at the Inn and found it to be immaculately clean. Tammy and Wendy were friendly and accommodating, and served guests a wonderful breakfast each morning. We stayed in the Scallop Shell Room, which provided our own private screened porch overlooking the bay. Beach access was just across the street. The Inn provides use of beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella, bicycles and kayaks. You couldn't ask for more. It was like a little slice of heaven! St. Joseph's Peninsula State Park is just a 5 minute drive from the Inn and contains one of the most beautiful white sand beaches we've ever seen. We'll definitely return as soon as we can!!!!

Room Tip: The 1st floor rooms are right off the common areas, so there may be a little bit of noise from other...

Very friendly B&B with V good furnishings and the most excellent breakfasts. Fantastic location with white sandy beaches a 3 minute walk away, great rear to the 'house' with a boardwalk down to the creek with benches and a hot tub which sadly as out of order but in the process of being repaired. The only down sie, we felt, was that our room was very dark, flashlight to look in the wardrobe!

Room Tip: Do not choose the oyster room if yyou like to see around - cannot say for others. We did mention to...
