We stayed 2 nights at the Inn and found it to be immaculately clean. Tammy and Wendy were friendly and accommodating, and served guests a wonderful breakfast each morning. We stayed in the Scallop Shell Room, which provided our own private screened porch overlooking the bay. Beach access was just across the street. The Inn provides use of beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella, bicycles and kayaks. You couldn't ask for more. It was like a little slice of heaven! St. Joseph's Peninsula State Park is just a 5 minute drive from the Inn and contains one of the most beautiful white sand beaches we've ever seen. We'll definitely return as soon as we can!!!!

Room Tip: The 1st floor rooms are right off the common areas, so there may be a little bit of noise from other...

Very friendly B&B with V good furnishings and the most excellent breakfasts. Fantastic location with white sandy beaches a 3 minute walk away, great rear to the 'house' with a boardwalk down to the creek with benches and a hot tub which sadly as out of order but in the process of being repaired. The only down sie, we felt, was that our room was very dark, flashlight to look in the wardrobe!

Room Tip: Do not choose the oyster room if yyou like to see around - cannot say for others. We did mention to...

Had a great room with private bath. The view from hot tub at night was awesome and loved sitting on back porch in the morning eating breakfast. Being able to go canoeing in the morning and beach in the afternoon was the greatest. Love the sunsets on the beach!

Spent 3 nites here at this inn and met some lovely people here. A very popular place and didn't see any other b&b's on the cape. Breakfast is superb although served rather late in the morning, 9a.m. We had waffles the first morn and then a quiche this a.m. I'm glad they were flexible and made me a fried egg and toast instead since I don't like quiche. Almost forgot about the yummy donuts they had out with coffee!
Right out the back door is a nice deck where you can eat or relax and see the bay. If your more adventurous you can walk down to the bay where you can use one of their kayaks. The bay is very grassy and shallow but we saw lots of birds and jumping fish! Of course I forgot to bring my mosquito repellant so remember it is my advice.
The next day we took a bike ride with their bikes. They are the old fashioned ones without
gears but the bike path right in front of the place is awesome, about 8 miles long!
We had a room on the 1st floor right next to the office but it was no problem. I think the rooms
on top and in back are better as they have a view but of course they cost more, I think.
The downstairs room had a little back enclosed porch but not a place you would want to sit .
The beds are supposed to be the ones where you can control the firmness of the mattress but they didn't seem to work.
When we arrived the asst. innkeeper was very friendly but I wish she would have given us
more advice on how the t.v. worked or how the bed controls worked.
Also hot tub is on a pretty low temp so make sure you turn it up before you get in.
We ate at the little Trading post store across the street as we didn't feel like driving, pretty
good food!

Room Tip: Choose an upper room in the back with a view of the bay!

We had a great stay at the Cape San Blas Inn. Wendy and Tammy are really attentive hosts and take all the time needed to answer your questions and make you feel right at home.

About the Inn: it is a very nice house with 7 guest rooms. All rooms are beautiful and you can't take a wrong pick. But if you've saved up, choose the Turtle Shell room. It features a great screened-in porch with a beautiful view at the garden and bay behind it. The room was very clean and looked well maintained. The bathroom features a bath and a massage shower, which hang high enough for us tall Dutchies, a rarity in the US.

About breakfast: absolutely amazing! This is why you choose a B&B over a hotel. We had an excellent breakfast made by Wendy. Everyday served hot and fresh and different than the day before.

About the staff: as said earlier, Wendy and Tammy are really great hosts. They are genuinely friendly and really gave us the impression that they wanted to do everything necessary to give us an excellent time. They made us feel comfortable and right at home.

About the Cape: this is a beautiful place to retreat for a few days. We used this place to relax at the end of our tour through the Deep South. And we had a hard time leaving. We took the kayak for some paddling and spent a long afternoon at the beach, watching the dolphins play and getting some tan on our skins. There are two smaller villages nearby, Port Saint Joe and Apalachicola. Although they have some restaurants (Owl Cafe in Apalachicola is worth the drive), you don't come to Cape San Blas for some exquisite dining. Rather save the time to enjoy the views, use the hot tub at the end of the dock and watch the sun set. Grab a pizza (surprisingly good!) at the shop across the street and some cold beer and you're all set for a great evening.

All in all, this was one of the very best B&B's we've visited, and we have visited quite a few now in the US. We've stayed three nights and felt we could have stayed at least three more. Many thanks to Wendy and Tammy!

My wife and I stayed in the Turtle (Suite) room at Cape San Blas Inn for our 25th Wedding Anniversary! Our stay was perfect! We arrived to an immaculate home and room, with strawberries dipped in chocolate and a Happy Anniversary note! We slept great on the his/hers selectable sleep number king bed! We woke to coffee every morning on our porch, wonderful cuisine breakfast on our our porch (or out on the deck with the other couples), and spent the day relaxing! We rode the bikes one day, went (barefoot) running down the quiet road to the State Park, walked on the beach, paddled our paddleboards (although they supply nice canoes and kayaks at the dock), watched a perfect sunset every day, and sat in the hottub at the end of the dock for late night cocktails! The room had a BluRay player and large flatscreen and a frig in the closet for our wine and snacks!

There is a great store across the street for snacks (and great boiled peanuts)! You must try the Raw Bar in Indian Springs and for a special night, let Patti cook you a meal at the Sunset Grill in Port Saint Joe! A trip to Apalachicola is nice and the Owl Cafe has great lunch on the deck overlooking the waterway!

Wendy and Tammy were the best hostesses ever! Very kind, wonderful food, and a sneek peak in the kitchen proved they keep a CLEAN house! Highly recommend this Inn for a quiet romantic stay!

Room Tip: Stay in the Turtle Room. It's the highest price, but worth the private porch and view of St Joe...

We booked with a Living Social Escapes deal; I think it was $140 for two nights. The room was great, with micro fridge. The innkeeper, Wendy, and employee who welcomed us (Connie?) were as friendly as can be. Some folks have complained about Sleep Number bed. We had NO problems....never touched the dial. We want such a mattress. DH, who has back issues from time to time, said he had never had such a good night's sleep at a "hotel".

Our breakfast was the stuffed French toast, fresh fruit, and sausage patties. YUM. Because of the long drive home, we had to skip the breakfast on our second morning and that made both of us sad.

We used the kayak to trek around the bay - mullets jumping up everywhere. No mullets in Arkansas, so that was fun!

Drive down to the state park at end of the cape---so beautiful. We took chairs and sat on the beach until we just had to have lunch--wish we had taken sandwiches so we could have enjoyed the tranquility longer. It is far from the maddening crowd and shelling is superb,

The Inn's boarding dock for the canoes/kayak needs a few boards replaced. That was the only negative.

We would love to stay at Cape San Blas Inn for a week. You will love this experience!

Room Tip: We had Coquina Shell room on second floor. It has a balcony, shared with room next door. We used bac...
