My wife and I rode to the park on bicycles. What a great place to ride! Beautiful scenery around every turn.

The beach was spectacular. Clean blue water and white sandy beaches. There were very few people on the beach in late August.

We didn't bring our boat this trip, but we did check out the boat launch facilities and they looked top notch.

We have visited beaches locally and abroad...this beach tops the list as far as having that "untouched" feel. The stretch of beach was so white and pure and clean. We loved it.

Our small family of four visited St. Joe Park for a day. The park itself is really not very big, but very nice and unique.

There is a marina and marina store with nice restroom facilities, some grocery and fishing items, etc. If you snorkel, you must use a dive flag and you can either rent or purchase them from this store.

Bayside Beach - You can walk out quite some ways and the water does not get very deep. There is a lot of sea grass and TONS of sea urchins. Make sure you wear water shoes to protect you from the sea urchins! If you are careful, you can pick up the sea urchins to view them closer without hurting them or you. We found several different kinds of crabs, including horseshoe crabs and a few small brittle starfish, scallops and of course lots of conch and hermit crabs. There are a LOT of shells, but most of them are inhabited by some kind of creature and not fair game. To find some of the smaller brittle starfish and crabs, pick up and look in big 'empty' shells.

We did not swim at the gulf side beach, although it looked like a very beautiful beach. We seen a few deer on the road while driving through the park. All in all it was a very nice visit.

Super nice rangers! The camp is clean and very well maintained. The only issue we had was getting the RV in the spot, they are very tightly packed. An the freaking mosquitoes. We came in without reservations at 8:29 pm and were just happy to get a spot. Super beach and bay access.
