We rented a pontoon boat from Seahorse for an all day outing. It was a last minute decision after we got to Cape San Blas. The staff went out of their way to let us know about cancellations so that we got a boat. The moral of that story is don't wait till you get here to book a boat.

The staff went over everything about the boat and pointed out some good places to snorkel. We had four teenagers on the boat the whole day and everybody had a great time.

I didn't hold out the highest of hopes for a snorkeling adventure in Port St. Joe, FL. However, the trip was well worth the time. Perhaps the best things about the trip was that the crew knew exactly where to take us for good snorkeling. The group found everything from sand dollars to sea horses to star fish to parrot fish. There were sting rays all over the place, all kinds of shells (with snails and hermit crabs), as well as sea urchins, a wide variety of fish, etc. The location was great for people of all ages, including little, little kids through adults. At the end, they did a show and tell where they presented the findings of the entire group, let the kids and adults see everything up close and personal, and shared some information about the various animals the group found. The two hours flew by and we could have been there all day long. Next time, we will rent our own boat and go out there for a longer visit. Overall, a very good experience and really glad we decided to do it.

Overall this was a great trip. We saw tons of critters and got to hold them. The crew helped to round up wildlife for show and tell. The captain was a bit curse but still saw to it everyone had a good time. Lots of snorkle time, water was clear and shallow so accessible even to those that dont swim. Did drift right over a stingray for some mild excitement. We also found seahorses, starfish, urchins, scallops and crabs.

The snorkeling trip was a hit! The Captain was great and his crew was outstanding. We have a 3 year old that had as much fun as the rest of us. The trip was safe and educational. The crew went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time! We were able to view and hold a variety of wildlife and experience much more.

I'll start with the positives, which will be quick. The fishing was good, and Captain Bill was helpful and pleasant, as well as an excellent fisherman. However, they have a multitude of charges along the way not associated with other services of this type. Firstly, they have a rod upgrade- $5. Live Bait- $6. Cleaning fees- 50 cents/lb. My grandfather had never paid cleaning fees before on this sort of trip, and he was very loudly made an example of in front of all the passengers. It also took 2 hours to come out to the good spots, and 2 hours back on a 7 hour trip, leaving 3 hours of possible fishing time. Of that 3 hours, 2 were spent traveling between different spots. The deckhands also lost a few fish with poor gaff usage. All in all, it was a below average trip with a multitude of hidden fees, and we will not be coming back again.
